J’ai eu un bon prof de musique au collège. Il nous faisait écouter de la musique, nous qui croyions ne pas s’y connaître, arrivions a reconnaître l’ensemble des instruments joués pendant les morceaux. Les enfants ont beaucoup de ressources. Surtout en groupe, c’est stimulant.

In no way is this down-grading Tiersen's work, but in essence, it follows mathematical principles. His style of minimalism means repeated patterns, and whilst they might sound great, it's not so much musicianship that it requires (but I can't judge, I am not very good at composing in general as a classical musician) but I think no matter who you are, upwards is always best! :)
