TBH I think a Sonic cartoon should have characters from the IDW Comics and be done by Tyson Hesse and Powerhouse could be a great idea.
Being that the whole everything is cannon (meaning that Sonic IDW and Sonic Prime are set in the Sonic Gameverse) I can see it work, Powerhouse worked on the Castlevania Netflix series so them working on a new Sonic Cartoon can work (and a possible lead up to Sonic Frontiers 2,) as for where it's going to stream, I think Hulu would be a great place for the next Sonic cartoon to stream and I think it's going to be called Sonic the Hedgehog (which fans will call it the Sonic Hulu series)
If this happens it might be my favorite Sonic cartoon even surpassing the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog
So there have been more than a few rumors about a possible remake of Sonic X, designed to adapt game storylines beyond what they did in the original. To say I have my reservations about this is an understatement, especially if any of the storylines they do involve a certain female plant character. But if it was done well, and it wasn't the kind of thing where it felt that certain things were thrown at you, I'd be willing to at least give it a watch.
Mind you, these are only rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt. Let's put it this way. Another rumor is that there could be an IDW adaptation with Lauren Faust as one of the showrunners. I've heard her name dropped several times. One was Sonic, and another was of all things, Animal Crossing. So I'd probably recommend waiting to see what they decide to do, if anything (and it probably will be SOMETHING, but the safe option is to wait and see).
Sonic X is definitely my favorite sonic show!
A new Anime would be awesome! I do wonder if we're at a point where Sega would be willing to invest in a new Anime? 2D animation tends to be more expensive to produce than CG animation. Maybe we could get something hyper stylized like the Spider verse movies. Regardless, I hope we're not without a Sonic show for long. Something weekly could do wonders for keeping the community entertained while waiting for new Sonic content.
I’m sure if we did ever get a sonic IDW show we’d get to see some extended parts of scenes from the comic and scenes and stuff we never got to see in the comic since that’s what adaptation shows so.
I agree, I want a whole show in the style of the Powerhouse animation shorts. Exactly like you said, do something in the style/setting of the Divergence Frontiers promo short. It could be adapting IDW stories, or it could be new stories set in that world and tone.
Actually a show with the animation style pf previous projects like the frontiers prologue would be so cool, not only is that animation style amazing it had a good environment good story for smth so short a great fight scene and tons of hidden extras that's what we need

For me, I would like a mix of IDW and Anime, because sonic x was a part of my childhood and the metarex saga was like Sonic Adventure 3, I pray we get to see Cosmo, topaz, and the others again, I also don’t want to see shadow try to kill cosmo, because I mean she’s adorable, plus they could add silver, blaze, and Omega to the mix to make it more epic. Let’s say if sonic x got a season 4 I would like it to be an adaptation of the metal virus and having Shadow playing a prominent role than what sega wanted, because years ago I remembered Mr.Flynn tried to make his sacrifice more meaningful and heroic, even taking off his inhibitor rings, but Sega is sega. Then we get Tangle and whisper into action and see their dynamic being a blast and comedic. FYI, I find it weird that metal sonic wasn’t introduced in sonic x, then we would’ve gotten the “revenge of Neo metal sonic” saga. Also how cool would it be to have Evan Stanley be co writer for a show. She’s becoming my second favorite writer and my favorite artist.
I have been a Sonic fan for a decade, and I actually have some show AND game ideas!
For a show, maybe it could be a "Spiderverse" styled show where the different timelines of the games collid. It could start off with Sonic on a meadow of flowers, his eyes closed as snippets of the different timelines like SA, IDW timelines, and Sonic06 can be seen. Then, Sonic's eyes open, and you hear him say "I wish I could change all of it... I wish I can make it right..."
And then, we see Eggman fly over to Sonic with an evil grin. A tiny action scene can happen with Tails and some of his friends and when it ends, Eggman can hold up this gadget and with the gadget, portals open up and we see the other timelines enter the world and crash onto the surface. Then, we see Scourge appear, laughing and then he says "Hello, brother."
Throughout the show, perhaps Blaze or Silver can guide Sonic through this, explaining that if the portals don't shut down, all the timelines will reset and relive the events. Maybe we can see Silver slowly forgetting who is the good guy, Shadow forgetting who Maria is, and even Eggman gets tricked by the other villains. Maybe Elise can show up and her and Silver can bond since we saw a moment when Silver carried her out of the lab and she calls him father. That's far fetched, but connecting some of the canon timelines that reset or IDW characters coming back would be CRAZY!
For a game, I REALLY wish we could get a sequel to Sonic Frontiers or an improved Sonic06.
I know it's impossible but I feel like the fans would love to hear songs from games played in the next Sonic show, like runners' ost is universally agreed to sound like it belongs to an anime, why not try doing something like that?

My favorite Sonic show is Boom. As for what I'd want, something like Avengers EMH, but for Sonic. Something that honors the whole franchise that is action-packed and still cares about the characters. What I want from this though is an adaptation of the Archie comics, even if that will probably never happen. Even just some of the characters being there would be great. The Frontiers' prologue was a good pilot for something like this.

Honestly a new sonic anime would be fire, I'd love to see sonic be able to interact with humans again
1:07 IKR BRO WE NEED TO SEE DARK SONIC AGAIN EXPLORING A TOTALLY DIFFERENT SIDE OF SONIC WITH DIFFERENT GOALS OR WITH ONLY THE PURPOSE TO PROTECT HIS FRIENDS WOULD BE AWESOME like seeing sonic get pissed off is not something we see often and bringing dark sonic into a show or even rhe cannonical series would be a great way to explain why he keeps calm like just imagine sonic explaining that another side of him begins to show when he gets angry, that would genuinely explain why he's always so positive even in the *grimest* of situations heh you see what i did there *grim* as in the grim from sonic prime.......................................................

I haven't watched a lot of anime TBH, but I'm all for Sonic getting another anime (or at least an anime-inspired show)! The shounen genre just fits so well with the Sonic series.

I would want the next sonic show to be like the sonic shorts y'know like chao in space and sonic mania adventures and the artwork being from tyson hesse who deserves to do the box art for all sonic games

I want a new sonic anime to be made from Ufotable, the studio that did Demon Slayer and if there's going to be a new sonic anime then i want the freedom fighters to be in it. 😊
