Abandoned & Forgotten Places
Documenting abandoned mines like never before!
Let's take abandoned mine exploring to the next level!
With your support you can help make this the best abandoned mine exploring channel on UA-cam!
Shot entirely in 4K! ...so, turn up those video settings!
On this channel we go deep... REALLY DEEP into abandoned mines and tunnels all throughout the western United States. We researched some of the harder to find mines and hiked or 4x4 back into them to explore and reveal their hidden secrets. Many of these remote locations are filled with cool artifacts, antiques and unique geology that will have you guessing as to why the old prospectors worked so hard to find gold, silver, and other minerals.
A&FP moves just a bit slower as compared to other mine exploring channels. Gly discusses why the miners chose these sites and he points out the geology and minerals that got them excited. Veins of quartz filled with gold and silver made many men lose sleep in the 1800’s and early 1900’s and modern prospecting still does to this very day.
DANGERS? Oh yes, there’s allot of dangers associated with old mines. Un-exploded dynamite, blasting caps, bad air, bats, spiders, and snakes all find their home in abandoned mine shafts and tunnels. Oh, and let’s not forget rotting timbers, flooded passages and collapsing rock!
Gly takes abandoned mine exploring seriously with all the proper safety equipment, training, and experience necessary to do this activity as safe as possible but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a bit of fun along the way. “Gly”, your host and his band of crazy characters “Old Bob” (Gly’s Jeep), “Quackers” (Gly’s duck) and “Bobbie” (Gly’s hula girl) are sure to brighten your day with their comments and silly antics. Heck, they may even give you a chuckle or two.
Just like Saturday morning cartoons before the internet was invented, Abandoned and Forgotten Places uploads each Saturday at 7:00AM PST. (that’s 10:00AM for you eastern folks) so don’t forget to click that subscribe button and bell icon to receive notifications of new episodes!
Please LIKE, SHARE, SUBSCRIBE and COMMENT! All these things help grow our channel and your financial support helps us find new locations and helps put fuel into “Old Bobs” tank. Old Bob, thanks you!
Ok, now for the ugly stuff...

“Gly”: You’d be AMAZED with what you can accomplish with one finger so 👉POKE👈 that SUBSCRIBE button and help TURBOCHARGE the channel! Doing so will help A&FP explore future locations such as Alaska, Canada and even parts of Europe. A&FP continues to be the most professionally produced abandoned mine exploration channel on UA-cam but we want to take it into the 🌟STRATOSPHERE🌟 and BEYOND so 👉POKE👈 that SUBSCRIBE BUTTON! ...Mr M says “just a little poke”... “cuz that’s all it really needs”. Thank you👍
By The Way, be sure to subscribe to Abandoned & Forgotten Footage for all the behind the scenes stuff and much much more.
Here’s the link to all the rib tickling fun: ua-cam.com/channels/dg1JMTJWcmQI17SOylAxIg.html
Oh man I would love to see Alaska Canada and European mines so hit that button you guys.
Definitely Alaska and Canada , not so much the euro mines , but would still watch . I bet there is a certain person in Canada that can help you out wile you will be there exploring forgot places 😂
Have you explored Goldpoint, Nevada? There are a bunch of awesome mines that ive explored that you guys would make a nice episode on. Let me know if your interested and i can give you coordinates to the mines.
Yep, I used one finger once and for the first time I actually got an officer to respond!🤔
Great video Guys! Love those colors!
Omg, Europe.... Come to Italy......
Mr. M needs a metal detector to detect around these places when he’s not feeling like going in. Under that metal bed I bet there’s old coins!
Great idea.
10 years ago a brown recluse ran up my pants leg while I was sitting on the garage floor assembling a new garage door opener. Still have a quarter-inch deep pothole in my ankle as proof. It's not the initial bite that gets you, it's the necrosis in the weeks following.
I just noticed the eyes that Mr. M has on his mic, that is so stinking cute. Made my day, i'm still smiling. Thanks for the great entertainment, you guys are awsome.
“Gly”: His mic’s name is “Doodle”.
I got to say I enjoyed mr. M's presentation you guys should check out his channel for some behind-the-scenes stuff and more in-depth knowledge on these Mine's. Abandoned and forgotten footage is the name of Mr. M's UA-cam Channel
Thanks Coop! Really. Thanks.
That blue was beautiful, I think that has been the most colorful one yet.
My dad worked in a copper mine called the Penn mine in Campo Seco California. It is now a huge ground water pollutant mine. I am always amazed at how men dug so much into solid rock. It's just crazy to see the holes they dug out. Love what you do Gly. Stay safe. From Yuma Arizona
The stone in this mine looks as if it’s been geologically tortured with seismic activity and immense pressures hence its brittle friable nature. I love watching your videos as they’re professional and safety driven. I live in Wales which is part of the U.K. the place is riddled with old drift coal mines etc as a kid we’d sometimes explore - I shudder thinking about it now lol.
That is so cool. Yeah I bet thinking back you’re wondering why you would even take those risks lol
There’s a channel called Lost Mines where they explore mines in Wales... they are very knowledgeable. Really interesting and historic.
Thanks I’ll check this out 👍🏻
Lost Mines also do mine tours in mid Wales...I did 11 so far...fantastic time's we had...do it!!!
@@postercollection2816 I’ll definitely look them up thanks for the heads up. 👍🏻
If there is a bat monitor there's a good possibility its slated for closure. They usually monitor for bat activity to make a decision to fully close it or bat bars to allow them to move through. Great videos thank you. Y'all make a great team.
Yay!!! New Saturday morning cartoon...er...I mean video!! ❤😂👍
Beat me to it
It was colorful like a cartoon I can say that much. He said the blue mineral is not worth anything but I would still buy a piece of it off of his eBay site just to say I have a piece from abandoned and forgotten UA-cam channel cuz this channel is going to be a multi-million subscriber Channel and the near future I believe that.
My husband is now watching this channel with me. He said he was going to check out Mr. M's mining terms video mentioned in this video.
Perfect title and YES you ARE the BEST Abandoned Mine Exploring Channel on You Tube!
I think based on there are other mine exploring channels with more subscribers, and Frank, to say "one of the best" is more polite
Beautiful Azurite pieces, Love that Blue.
Awesome location Gly!! Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍
Woah an hour video from Gly and a half hour video from Mr. M? You're spoiling us today!

Thank you for the best entertainment in years.I`m retired on fixed income or I would support you financially. Best I can do is like and share.
“Gly”: Thank you very much!
That’s more than enough brother
Gly Coolness, one of those rare individuals who actually get excited about being able to go deeper into danger and further from safety.
I believe we used to call them "lunatics" lol

I have watched a few or more of other mine explorers, I have to agree, this is THE BEST channel going, lighting, knowledge, and speed of exploring is some of the reasons it is THE BEST.

10:23 Perfect innuendo by Mr. M lmao
Super Duper pretty mine and Love the location too!! Can only imagine how they made it to that spot and decided to set up shop. The logistical nightmare of setting up, and working that location.

Nice production. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for the efforts!
Time to go into the mine exploration rabbit hole! 🕳🐇
Great video. The blue azurite really glows in abundance.
That blue azurite is so pretty. The crawler grunts were epic. Beautiful colors in them mines. Glad u didn't get bit from a brown recluse. My mom did once and ended up in the hospital. Not fun. Anyway watch out for them venomous creepy crawlers. Mr. M was wise to stay back. Him and the tea on them roads is a riot. Spoon...Happy Trails to u both.
Incredible! Love your videos!
Thanks for taking us along on these explorations. We’ve been playing catch for the last few weeks and it’s really fascinating stuff. Have you thought about documenting the path ore takes from mine to mill to finished product?
Great episode Gly, my favorite episodes are where you really get to explore. That Azurite is beautiful... Looking forward to next week's episode....
“Gly”: I had allot of fun with these two.
