Sleep token’s popularity still feels weird to me… they’re okay but I can’t listen to them constantly and the music production sounds very much like every other current band… with the exception that they mix rather strange genres together… but I guess Rn’b and heavy was done by Woe is me and Emarosa over 10 years ago

I'm one of Mike's biggest fans and always joke that we do noooot have the same music taste. The fact that he likes Sleep Token had me sooooo excited!!!

@@ChrisHSubieWRXdon't be a dick, you know what they mean. He SOUNDS LIKE/FEELS LIKE he's a good dude. Like, he seems like someone you could be friends with in real life, and because we've been listening to him for TWO DECADES already, it also feels like he already IS a friend
@@ChrisHSubieWRX Are you slow. If you met him or anybody else in person and had the same information as you were given in an good interview, you would say the same thing. Don't act like you never hung out with someone for a few hours and came to the conclusion.
@@nogrecords I just don’t trust people based on interviews they have. You can act civil in front of a camera and be completely different when the lights not on you. Definitely not putting blind faith in someone I don’t know or have never met just because they make music I listen to.

What's crazy is that he's done a song in the past apart of Linkin Park as the lead! No Roads Left! It's just an amazing song! Kinda goes under looked.
He's been the lead in a lot of Linkin Park songs. After MtM Mike and Chester pretty much split singing roles down the middle.
Meteora was released in my last year of HIgh School. Can't believe it's been 20 years.

Losing Chester was a big loss for the band, however I hope they find a way to continue making music. They all have lots of potential for a better 8th album and a great 1st concert in years.
Idk man, while I agree with the overall sentiment of your post, I think the Linkin Park era is over. I do think that Chester is irreplaceable-soley because every member truly mattered in the band. Maybe if the remaining members get together and do some *different* from LP.
@@ArtDadDrawsI tend to agree with YOU more than the OP. ..,However, I will say that the Chester (lol) from the LP tribute band HYBRID THEORY, has absolutely got what it takes to not only step in to help create another Linkin Park record, and another era of Linkin Park. He already tours as "Chester", so he knows all the songs to go on a giant LP tour with the guys. And if you haven't heard them yet, they are fantastic. I actually thought it WAS Linkin Park the whole time I was listening, until I heard them play LOST, & I had to stop what I was doing to look at my phone, like wait a damn second. I knew MIKE sounded weird to me and he keeps speaking in another language, but I just thought that it was a concert over seas (Im a dumb American 😂) and he's just fluent in another language. But then when I looked at my phone, I was like HOLY CRAP! It's not Linkin Park AT ALL!
The only way I feel like LP could live on is if they had a guest singer on each track of the album. Some relatively unknowns as well as well known singers. That way it could be a tribute to chester for each album they could release like that and a portion of the profits of each album would be donated to charities
@@Lg_Lantern Well Chester committed suicide, meaning Linkin Park with Chester's done. However, they can perform as a 5 member band or find a replacement for Chester.
@benouzgane1929 I'm aware he did. That's why I said guest singers. So no one actually replaces him. They perform with them to honour Chesters memory

Linkin Park is my favorite band ever, but I think Sleep Token is a bit over rated lol
1000% they are. The keys on their record from this year sound good, but God, it's really just garden-variety late 2010s/early 2020s metalcore with some trap beats, Ed Sheeran/Drake raps, and occasional inexplicable bursts of "deathcore" vocals.

I would like that as well, but imagine him doing that and every interview/video/commentary/reaction/etc being about Chester again. It's like Dave Grohl getting an interview and always being asked about Nirvana and Kurt.

one musician Mike should definitely collaborate with is Bret Autry aka @bluestahli (mastermind of sound, composer who actually has IMPRESSIVE vocal abilities) I’d go as far to say that he could even contribute to linkin park in some shape or form and it would feel right)
