@wowshadowsedge I had to stop seeing them. I couldn't keep up with demand, and shipping was killing any kind of margin. They can be purchased on Helidirect.
@@hyperc5249 Thanks, I'll take a look there. Hey, your channel rocks! I've found so much helpful info. Thanks for all you do - I'm a n00b, got my first RC in February. Your info is really great.
I'm a little late to the show with this truck, but I plan on busting one of these out for some upcoming comps this year. This is my first brushless rig, and I'm pumped!
you mentioned bearings and bushings... could you update a link for that? Did installing the bearing kit help any with the sound? its hard to tell since the mic is so close to the rig. That's been one of my biggest gripe is that I can't enjoy the outdoor sounds when i got a whiny rig.
Just added the link for the bearings. Thanks for reminding me. I slipped and forgot to add it. Unfortunately.... No it doesn't quite it down. The ESC and motor are the whiners. The metal gears also add noise.
I MASSIVELY doubt that anyone could show an actual performance difference between bushing to bearings- And if they could it's not going to be anywhere close to dropping cg with that brass.
I installed bearings in my TRX-4m and I promise it made a massive difference. It's quieter, noticeably faster and it doesnt bind (stop) the wheels on obstacles at slow speeds like it did new.
Thanks for sharing and linking all the upgrades!
@@Fprice2013 you're welcome
do these upgrades fit on the katana also ??? you mentioned in a different video it looks the same ??
Yes.
Certainly looking out for the STLs 👀
I have ordered the same rims and tyres you suggested for the fx118. Does that mean I need the stainless steel extended wheel hexes ?
Yes. The offset is important. I would get brass hexs.
Great video series. Just got this truck myself. Where can I buy your 3d printed sliders?

@wowshadowsedge Thanks, bro. That's the reason I started this channel to begin with. Be careful. This hobby is extremely addictive!!!!
Very nice rig. I have one one the way. Where can I get the upgrades that you added to your rig ?
Helidirect or Direct RC
Do these wheels poke out/in any more than the stock wheels?
With the hex spacer, yes, it widens the wheel width a little.

It's never too late for this rig. You will love it.

@timdelbruegge3164 yep

Thanks. I have a few more on the way. Outstanding crawler.

Where can I find the link at ?
Any chance you have a file for the sliders for purchase and print myself?
Sure. Let me find the STL.
Cool. New to 3D printing. Looks like something I can handle. Alot to learn.
I know you're a busy man. Just wondering if you had a chance to look? Thanks
Those wheels direct fit with no spacers ? Got one set for my mini'z but dont fit !
No, I used scx24 wheel extensions hexs.
@hyperc5249 what 24 hex extensions did you use?
@@urethanejunky2689 I put a link in the video description.
Link is missing.... 😕
@allroysmart4089 link for???
Great vid. Nice set of upgrades.
Thanks. More upgrades on the way.
great vid man 😊 You deserve a lot more subs!
Thanks, man. I'm getting there. About 100 subs a week. I have some new rigs coming that are going to be awesome. So that is going to help, too.
Thanks for the vid bro. Always helpful.
Your welcome. Thanks for watching.
Are the driveshaft for the 18 and 18p the same can’t find the 18’s online at a reasonable price. You build is really sharp. Nice video
Thanks. I only have the FX118 and 18P EVO. So, I don't want to steer you wrong. 18P for sure fit.
The CR18, CR18P, & CR18P EVO all use different center drive shafts. If you need the CR18 version, you will have to order that version.
What bumper is that!?
Mine. I designed it, and 3D printed it myself.

Do you have the files for the 3D printed parts?
Lol,just put the bearings in mine, and added brass rims.
That will definitely help your rig out.
