    Hey Ken, great to run and share with your brother. I did as you practice and walked the trail to choose,y lines (nothing as challenging as you do) and it was a great help, thanks for teaching! I wanted to share with you about a communication solution one of the guys showed me. He uses a garmin mini and Gaia (spelling) navigation. The mini acts like a hot spot for him and does allow simple text if needed. I know he goes into several states off roading and finds it reliable.
    As always thanks for what you do, until next time. Jey

      I'll take a look at the Garmin mini, thank you! I am using gaia and it is really good, in combination with other navigation apps and websites. Having a gpx file a specific trail is great and recording trails is fun. Thanks as always for watching!

    It is interesting to watch your videos. Mine is set up very similar to yours. The dents similar, the sounds in suspension, the sounds scraping. Kind of funny

      You have dents too? Awesome! 😄 Most people are afraid of dents.

    I wonder how many people actually got the references in the beginning of the video. It is a most excellent production and all. I almost spewed on that 3rd obstacle. Exsqeezme, but your brother is driving? We're not worthy! Signing off frrom Aurora Illinois. Sorry. I'm a child of the 90's.

    Frank the tank!
    that s my knickname here in st Jerome!
    st Jerome is the 2 nd most criminal city in Quebec after Montreal.
    lots of poor people with no jobs, and plenty of criminals.
    they don t like me very much, although I m no police officer.
    it s one of the reasons I have the gi joe logo.
    I advertise my values, and give them a warning.
    I m not as built as you, but I have character, as my fj, lol.
    it helps here to have a reputation, so that thugs stay away.
    the police helps, they warned that my self defence will be...strong!
    cool trail once again!
    good show team!

    Fun trail!! You said it was hard to find your way back out. I sometimes bring baggies full of flour and I ether drop them on the trail and pick them up on the way out. Or I dump the flour out on the trail. That way I don't have to pick them up on the way out. Clumsy but it works. They also make good targets if you want to shoot them.

      I did meet Matt and a couple of folks from his crew. He seems like a real down to earth type of guy.

    Front bumper did better than your old one? Looks like a much better approach angle. Love the videos, keep em coming!!!

    Party Time! That looked like a lot of fun. I know Frank's Civic wouldn't have made it through there! Did he catch the fever? He's going home to sell everything he owns, by a four wheel drive and move to Idaho, right?

    • @offroadhub.official
      @offroadhub.official  4 роки тому +1

      😆😆 No... he just bought a boat though, which suits his situation a little better. But maybe one day!

    well nice you did not need to call matt's off-road.
    Some guys got a lot of flack a few weeks back for getting an FJ stuck in that area on his channel. In fairness the owner had just bought it, and it was completely stock (street tires included); but, boy did it bring out the FJ fans to defend the FJ and critisize the driver.

      Getting stuck in that sand is pretty easy. There were multiple vehicles, including Jeeps, that got stuck in the sand at the Trail Hero staging area... nobody is above the laws of physics. 😄

    7:14 Something leaked there a bit. Wanted to ask you which is more difficult in general, climbing or descending?

    • @offroadhub.official
      @offroadhub.official  4 роки тому +1

      That leak was sand/dust falling. I think climbing is more difficult, descending is more scary because you reach a point and you can't stop, you're no longer in total control. Climbing is just difficult because of gravity keeping you down, but you can always stop and assess your situation.

    May I ask what kind of suspension, shocks and lockers you have

    • @offroadhub.official
      @offroadhub.official  4 роки тому +1

      I have Dobinsons suspension all the around with Reszfab rear links. The rear locker is the factory elocker, the front is ARB. Thanks for watching!

    You got off the actual trail several times, not even for lines on other trails.

    • @offroadhub.official
      @offroadhub.official  2 роки тому

      I believe it! Even with a gpx file I couldn't stay on the trail. Trail markers get pretty sparse out there. 😄

    What psi do you run for just street driving?
