Hey Ken, what tread does a Frank have on his shoes (kidding) Go Frank Go! I have been debating if the bump out on the back side of the sliders is necessary and well you kinda illustrated that for us all. Beautiful area as always thanks for the post and the adventure, Jey
Looking good! Great video, I have been up Forest Lake Trail up AF Canyon but not this one. I've seen the photos and videos and some of that off-camber stuff with the high likelihood of door damage is what has kept me away. For you, you dont really have to worry about that! But I have to take care of my baby since it is all I have 😂 I know one guy with an FJ who took a wrong line on this trail and he almost rolled. Luckily he didnt but he claims this trail is what bent his rear axle! (I doubt that but who knows!)
I did take all the hard lines, most spots have easier lines or bypasses. The obstacle that I scraped the slider on does have an easier bypass, close to a cliff's edge...but easier. It's a fun trail. I like trails with big river rock boulders.
@@offroadhub.official I just went to this trail and turned around at this obstacle. Watching your video gave me some more confidence to try it again. I don't understand fully how to even take the bypass for this obstacle
@@Crazynacky I'm glad you got out and tried it again. As I recall the bypass was pretty close to the edge, so it's probably scarier than the obstacle. But it's been a couple years, so things may have changed since I was there.
You used to be able to go further up that trail before Snowbird bought the land and shut it down. Enjoy Miller Hill before the same thing happens to it.
@@offroadhub.official would love it if you did a video on how your able to hit a new trail every couple of days. Do you work a day job (that's down due to covid)? Are you independently wealthy? (if so, are you looking to adopt a fully grown person (potty trained, can feed himself))
@@thomas1942 I don't know if I could do a whole video on the subject. I travel around in a truck with a bed camper and tow the FJ on a trailer. My employment did indeed suffer greatly because of covid so I decided to pursue this course. My wife and I plan to make the most out of this venture as we can in the next couple years to see where it takes us. 🙂
Great vids but your narrating seems a bit scripted...almost like a computer voice. Be yourself and talk as you do when on the camera live. Keep up the great vids👍
LOL, Love the Pumpkin Air Breather.
Cheers,
Bugs
That bass intro reminds me of Geddy Lee , gives me the warm and fuzzies, but I digress, thanks for the vids, great as always
Thank you! I'm actually making a change to my intro, starting Thursday!
Love it man! You and the FJ, are a match made in offroad. Just like me and my 1stgen tundra. Battle scared & all!
Thanks for watching!
Another great video!
Keep it up!
I wish I had known you were here... would've gone up there with you! Love that trail!
It was a last minute thing. Maybe next time! It is a really fun drive!
Such a beautiful trail
FJllent. Looks like your human ATRAC safe your A, climbing out of the wash...😁 Great video . .

Do you think a stock off road can do this trail?
Yes if you're careful!

Oh yeah I imagine there was a lot more to explore back then!
We tried to do the that trail at night. Very sketchy.. We had to turn around after winching a 4runner out of a washout.
You would want to be really familiar with this trail for a night run!
Just did it in a Jeep at night (first time) and it wasn’t too bad. 4Runner will have a harder time though
At 11:30 you really see how much of an angle some parts of that trail are.
Yeah that is a pretty serious obstacle, but really a lot of fun too!

@@offroadhub.official Best of Luck. Maybe i join you on the trail in a couple of years.
@@thomas1942 What part of the country are you in?
What kind of tires do you run on that?
I was running 315/75/16 Milestar Patagonias when I made this video. 👍
@@offroadhub.official Tight thanks!

In glad you're liking the videos! I'll try to have a more animated narration voice. 😄 Thank you!
