Baiken showed up for the SNK boss auditions, but she got the location wrong and ended up kicking your ass instead.
I'm thinking mentioned that you're the fighter had chosen the wrong place when you been challenging her.
And most importantly was Baiken was to know your location after she will slains you alive and you'll became her Tatami Gaeshi.

it's sooo hard to even get to this fight tho. you gotta get through the whole game with no continues lol. the computer ain't shy about instant killing you either. I had a decent run going once and was over half way through it and kliff ended my whole career seconds into the first round. I was pissed lol
Its always Chipp for me
i usually fight Chipp fairly early before the AI gets out hand lol. not to say it doesn't get out of hand quick tho. it'd be different if you could IK everyone. after a few matches, that's impossible
@@zerobeatw2059 It's still possible, just unlikely, since AI reads your inputs and does auto IK evade most of the time. However, if you're able to force AI mash something and do IK at that moment, it could go through.
Hated it whenever May would do her instant kill in arcade mode.
@@JRPGLOVER I admit when I used to play this more often, I got a couple of late IK's. tho I feel by the 8th fight and up, it's definitely a struggle to land one. I never could land one on testament or justice lol

Winning the Game without Continues to unlock the Baiken Fight ONLY WITH SOL OR KY is hard enough but the actual Battle against her (you can lose in the fight with her to unlock her btw.) is where the Nightmare begins! xD
I'm proud to say that i got the Steamachievment for her and unlocked her after 7 Days of Training with Sol
Well, people usually cheese the fight just to get there. Sol at least has 2 infinites he can execute. Just make sure you don't get instant killed by the CPU.
@@Trimint123 i try stuff like unlocking her legit -> of Course as Sol you could get your Opponent in a Bandit Revolver Loop (his running Kick ability) and everything will be easy but i prefer the challenge! :D
And a hot Iron like Baiken is motivation enough!

I only first knew baiken in x2, also I've seen Maximilian face her and the first thing she did was a instant kill.

He was at full health and gets instant kill. She doesn't play around with players though.

She was actually based on kenshin’s design. Daisuke never actually read or watched rurouni kenshin so he thought he was a girl and put it into the game lol

Somehow in the lore, her power level is a LOT lower than those of Justice Testament or Sol but her AI is super cheap back then.
She's just really really dangerous with her tools but yeh she's way weaker as people say

Her intro where she spits out the leaf and cuts it up was referenced in her Strive trailer
Nearly all her appearances have some variant on that trick.
I swear Baiken is hotter with that brown hair and without the eyepatch. Her original design is way too underappreciated.

Kinda sucks that only Sol and Ky gets to fight Baiken (saying this as a Ky main myself). Really wish there was a lore reason as to why she only challenges those 2 but as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) this secret fight is non cannon

Baiken is possibly the single strongest normal, non-magical human in the entire setting, and that's with an arm missing.
I feel like Chipp or Leo could be a contender. We haven't really gotten many chances for them to compare against each other though

@@mrsister032 Oh, that's another contender. Gio is a normal human, and she was able to beat Nago in a 1v1. Only reason she lost was because she didn't want to kill him

Knowing pretty much nothing of the Guilty Gear franchise, and really only knowing Baiken, I was surprised how much they changed her body from the earlier to the later games. Very fascinating.
unfortunately it has become horny bait for the fanbase. People need to realize that her character is more than just “funny big boobs chick.” She literally had to witness her entire country fall to nuclear warfare, having witnessed countless deaths. The tits are cool and all, but her story is interesting.

KoF wasnt hard anymore around 98. Also CvS2 bosses arent in the same level of the 90s fgs bosses (mainly early to mid 90s). You could have mentioned the earlier KoFs, earlier FFs and SSs, AOF, WH, SSF2T, COTA, earlier MKs...
I dont know why her design went from a really rugged looking Samurai to the cleaner and more presentable Baiken we have in strive and Acr. Honestly I dig the older designs present in the series for most characters than the newers, that 90's-early 2000's edge is too good.
Totally agreed! I feel like the relatively low resolution sprites of that time forced the characters to be somewhat simpler, or rather "purer" in design compared to the ones in more recent titles. The newer designs have all these pointless additions all over them that only dilute the original design ideas. I feel like the older designs were still somehow rooted in reality, like how Baiken's outfit is just a yukata, but it's how it all comes together with her attitude and her missing arm that makes her cool. The new design has an "eyepatch" that's also a goggle, like a monocle-goggle and it's just so bizarre to think that anyone would wear something like that...
I think her X2 design was the best one so far

I got to her with Sol and beat her, but she wasn't unlocked in the save after, made me pretty sad bc it was tough to do without losing.
