From 1965 to 1971, our parents would drop us off at Disneyland with a single book of tickets for each of us 3 kids. We were all under 13 years old. I quickly learned to go to the trash cans at the exit and there'd be books of tickets with good ones still left in them by 1 or 2 PM. It wasn't long before I had stacks of ticket books. We only needed to buy our entrance tickets after that. I and my two sisters grew up with Disneyland babysitting us so our parents could work. We'd just meet them at the gate at 6 when they'd pick us up. Worked like a charm.
