im so confused with a problem our teacher gave... how to find if at let say the given is the triange at 7:42 angle BCE = 80, and angle CDE = 60 find the measurement of line segment BD...? do i do the same thing applying the trigonometric functions?
mathematically speaking, your teacher gave an incorrect problem if Angle BCE is 80, then BCD must be 160 the opposite angle of BCE is BAD, which must be 160 also, of angle CDE is 60, then CDA is 120 angle ABC can remain as variable x because we don't know if angle BCE is congruent to the opposite angle so if we add 160+120+160+x, it should equal to 360 the problem is that after adding 160+120+160, which is 440, that sum is greater than 360 itself so if we wanted to solve for x than x+440(-440)=360(-440) that should get this: x = -80, which is illegal if your teacher gave actual angles, then the only way to really find segment BD is if your teacher also gave any value of another segment so yeh.....
True ,and he explain it well and less time consuming ,my teacher teach this for more tgan an hour and i still dont get it but when i watch his videos ,in less than 20 minutes i already know how to solve it properly and easily ,i really like how he teach in a short amount of time lol

sir can u explain why A and C angles are not equal? if we draw the vertical diagonal, transversal rules say that alternate angles are equal. so AOD and BOC, AOB and COD will be equal. therefore accounting to A and C being equal right?

I think it's just for this example. If it was congruent it would be a rhombus/square.

compare BCD to ABC as seperate triangles and u could probably see why they could be different angles idk i might be wrong tho
