Thanks for the review. I think your mic is clipping for being too close to the speaker. I'm not sure what mics does oluv gadgets use, but they always sound crisp clear.
EDIT: Forgot to say agree with all your points. However, you are not giving any real alternatives at the price or even in the same form factor. Got this as I refuse to buy a piece of audio equipment you can't change the battery on. Battery powered options are e-waste in 3 years. This is waaaaay better than anything battery powered even at double the money. Lighter than JBL Charge 3. For home use, really good option if it's a small room (not New York small, Asian small).
Would I have any sound quality advantage if I ran my TV's optical output or my DVD player's Coaxial into an inexpensive DAC (Aiyima DAC A2) and out of the DAC to the 12's RCA inputs?
Main advantage is that you can use it with your TV, otherwise not really. Switched between BT and my Topping DX3 Pro+ (RCA to RCA) and no perceivable change in output quality. Have not checked the aux quality.
@@rahulmenon4357 I mean when you connect to a subwoofer is it unloads the lower frequency to the sub or both the speakers and subs pay lower frequencies together?

Is it possible to connect a microphone to the speaker in some way to sing karaoke?
Thanks for the honest review 👍👍👍
My pleasure 😊
How is the edifier m601db
This speaker or JBL charge 5?
Can I connect these with Edifier r1280dbs?
No
You could by using the line out via cable and both speakers would be playing.
what about the bass quality is it punchy or smooth or just okay
I would say smooth
IMO much better than passive radiator options. Sub good? No. Bookshelf good? No. Small outdoor deck party? Yes. Soundbar alternative? Yes.
Thanks for the review!
can you put edifier t5 subwoofer in it?
Yes. Via the line out
Very cool
Thanks for the information
Low pass filter?
Bass knob works for boost, not much effect lowering it without affecting vocals.
