Although be careful glen liza was picking that up checking the weight maybe keep close eye on her if shes got that 😂😂👍🏴
Love the way you two interact during the video. Super. 🤙🏼 What kind of grind was that on the roughing gouge? Never seen that before. I just turned a mallet from some green maple and it’s cracking and checking. Still useful though. It looks pretty cool to. Thank again. Keep on Turning! 🌪️ Cheers 😎🤙🏼🇨🇦🌪️
@@rundledorosh656 It makes it more user friendly and I can do much more with it than just roughing down a piece, as demonstrated in the video. Does not weaken it at all.
I have to stop speed reading, I thought that you were turning a mullet. I thought that was strange seeing that you don’t have hair. Then I watched😬 nice ‘Mallet’ Glenn😬👍
Nice mallet I’ve been wanting to turn one myself I’m too tight to buy one been from Yorkshire. I’ve just acquired an apple tree trunk that’s just been felled is that suitable and how long should I leave it before turning it.
Hi Wayne, it is better to have dry wood for this. If you wanted to turn it immediately, I would seal the end grain straight away after turning it, to slow down the drying process. It shouldn't crack then. Mine may crack as it was still quite wet but it was mainly for the video and I could just make another one at a later time. Thank you also for the Buy Me A Coffee. Much appreciated. Glenn & Liza
Very nice.
Thanks David.
Like that, I will make one next week. Is there any update on the parting tool? Ta David
Thanks David. No update as yet. Not something I make as a stock item.
Glenn & Liza great wee project mate well done.
Thanks Alan.
Very nice-looking mallet.
Thanks Mark

Yeah, she was sizing it up. Don't know what for. If the videos stop, you know what's happened. 🤣🤪
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 I'll keep my eyes open for a very obrubt end to a video 😬🤣 good luck 🤞
@@michaelwillson6847 Lol.
Very impressive. I hope to see you using it.
Thanks Mark. It's mainly for using on my chisels.
Can you tell me about your Face mask and respirator combination?
I did a video on it. See link ua-cam.com/video/HRskMIZEj4E/v-deo.html

Thank you Rundle. Welcome to the channel. It's my fingernail grind.
Thank you for replying so quickly. 😎
Cool. What’s the reason behind that? Doesn’t it weaken the gouge? 🤔

Very cool. Thanks. 😎🤙🏼🇨🇦

Lol. Thanks Chris.
Use Hockey cloth tape to on the handle to hide those awful knots.
The knots are part of the character of the wood. It's a tool for hitting things. Eventually, it will be full of dents.
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 , but, but, the Canadians need our support.
