@@SpaZZcoCanada Ah ok thats why I’m missing the white AC Contactor in mine. Wondering if that Relay is all I would need still. Nothing happening though with only relay installed.
@@justinblanchard5886 I'm guessing then that your heater doesn't have a switch in the back for an external thermostat?

Can you confirm this is the 5000W Dyna-Glo Heater? I notice that your model has that white coil inside, and my 5000W Dyna-glo (EG5000WH) doesn't have the same-looking component. I did just purchase that Supco 90370 Relay so I want to be sure that is all I need. Thanks!
Tried hooking up the smart thermostat with the Supco Relay exactly how you did but when I turn on nothing happens. As it turns out I'm missing part #17 in the 7500W dyna-glo manual which is called the AC Contactor. The 5000W Dyna-glo (Workhorse Model - EG5000WH) does not have that white AC Contactor, which appears in your model on screen. So unless there is another way around this Im at a halt. Would be nice if anyone here could share their model number and any parts they purchased to get theirs working with a smart thermostat. Thanks
Finally got it working!! I had to move my red tstat wire into the C slot with my c wire. I missed the part where you said you had to do that as well! Very important tip with this relay! Thanks a ton!
i have the 5000 dynaglow heater and on the box it says ready for external thermostat. so did yours say the same but its high voltage? and can you link the relay you used ?
Yeah I think it said somewhere in the owners manual about it being a high voltage stat. But it might also have just been something I learned when researching the heaters and stats. I'm going to see if I can find a link for a 24v transformer as well and post that in the description.

Did you get your 5000W dynaglo working with the same relay and 24v power supply he used? What is the model of your dynaglo?
