That looks so good! Snake!!!! Sell! Just kidding; the boys could make a belt for you sooner (LOL). The Lasagne looks delicious and my children (special needs adults) love lasagne in any form. I am working out in my mind how to adapt to a kitchen without a roaring fire and all the cast iron how to do it in an oven. And I think I have it. Just the same, I cannot wait for the book. Please put me on whatever list you are making for sales; I'll prepay. I have also enjoyed some of the cooking Dan and Pete have done, only occasionally, and which recipes they haven't shared. Eventually I will watch them enough to figure them out. I wonder if you might have them as guest 'chefs' when you are too tired to film that week. I pray you are all well though. I love all your family shows and try to schedule enough time to watch them all. Thanks to all for sharing your life

I’ve got some zucchini and yellow neck squash in my freezer that I’ve been trying to come up with a recipe to use that and I think that would go very nicely and a day or two. 😊😊 keep the videos coming love them. Wow, so pleased to see you're doing this. I've been watching for many years - as others have said here too - and always would perk up when you were 'in the kitchen' or garden, doing all those amazing creations. Such a ton of work, I'd always think, especially with those open fires and rough weather - and all those hungry outdoor family members. You're a hero Carol - keep it up!!
PS: I'd love to know how you keep your knives sharp. Maybe include a demo in a show sometime, please.

Love that you are doing this! All your meals on EFRT look delicious. I’ve seen you roast different vegetables directly near the fire many times. It would be helpful if you could add some commentary on that (onions take x amount of time, squash takes x amount of time - how close to the fire etc.). Just my two cents from someone who has never cooked food like that. Good luck with the channel. I’ll be watching for sure. God Bless!
Thank you! Definitely will explain more moving forward. I find it all depends on the heat of the fire. I make a judgement call on that. So it varies. But I will do my best with explaining time and temperature. Hope you’re having a great day.

Carol, this simple meal of zucchini lasagna looks soooo yummy! I will have to try it next week, in my cast iron pan! It will be in the house oven but I’m sure it will still be delicious! That’s the beauty of cast iron, it works great inside and outside. There is something about picking fresh herbs from one’s own garden.

I made the Zucchini Lasagna last night! It was raining so I used the oven. Delicious! We loved it and so easy to make! I can’t wait to make it again over a campfire!

Talk about putting your onions on the fire?
By adding the onion in the coals and letting it cook, remembering to rotate it gives it a pleasant texture and taste like none other with a little bit of campfire char. adding to the flavour.
