You can't live a lie and be honest and health for that wife and kids, but especially to yourself.

The producers of "Dynasty" didn't dare put Steven in a permanent same-sex relationship. During the 80's the religious right exerted much more pressure than they do now.
He said he was offered a contract but turned it down because he didn't want to be tied to the show long term. No problem playing gay - he has played gay in 3 shows since Dynasty.
Adam had no right to move on in Claudia just as Luke have no right to move in on a MARRIED MAN. Luke was really trying to sleep his way to the top, using the gay outrage as a front.
I think both actors who played Stephen were good but the replacement Fallon was dreadful. Pamela Sue Martin was very good playing the Fallon charichter.

The new Dynasty is a re imaging of the older one. The original was in the 80s, when homosexuality was widely seen as a choice, a deviance, and unfit to be a parent. Claudia did have mental issues in the original. Steven married her to get custody of his son because a court would not grant him custody if he was single with his history of homosexuality.
