Worked a charm, thank you for this video. I failed with many other plugins and methods before discovering your video. Two things to note. 1) make sure PHP versions on the old and new server are the same. I had to change mine before it worked. 2) if it continues to fail, try again but restore the database first.
I've barely comment on a UA-cam videos but, yours was worth it. Tutorial was delivered clearly and with great ease. There's hardly anyone who will not be able to follow your steps. Great work!!!
Great video indeed! Wondering how you pointed the original domain especially if you bought from a different registrar from where your website was being hosted.
How do I log in to another host if I had just one domain. Wouldn't it need to propagate the new DNS? While it'll erase the old host from DNS! Please clarify
I have to thank you a lot for this video very easy to fallow I really love but I still have one issue with it, I am using flatsome theme. The problem is UX Blocks it is displayed properly on the frontend but when I try make changes it keep loading and not possible to remake either becouse even new UX block is not loading. I wonder what it could be due to and if anyone else is experiencing the same problem Grateful for an answer
Hello, Great video. I'll try it soon. How about the new Database and user we have normaly create before ? No needed with this plugin ? They gonna automaticly create it ? Thx
I have a few websites under the same hosting account. They consider them subdomains even though I have paid domain names for them all. Do I need to do this for each one? Someone mentioned backing up the cpanel. Do I need to do that?
So I transferred in a domain name that has a Wordpress site on it. Do I install Wordpress to the domain name and then do the transfer in? How does this work if you are transferring domain name as well as site?
Hey Paul, How does one migrate a website from SG to SG manually - the problem I'm having is the website is already on SG and I have another account on SG and can only move sites I have on the other account using transfer ownership and it only allows one a day.
I tried these steps, but in during "Restore", I got this error. [2021-08-02 09:59:32][error]restore failed error unknown ... what could possible go wrong?
Hello, nice video, what if i have a paid theme and plugins, can i migrate them too? Also I have to migrate a subdomain to a completely new domain, can i do it with this method?
I have a unique situation. I have one working site. The site that needs to have duplicate wp is not accessable directly on the Internet. I could port forward it to a port xxxx site on my IP. And access the working site which has a different IP as source. However it appears that port numbers are not accessable. I have for that reason gone to all-in-one-wp-migration where I can capture the data, put it on my cloud, and upload it using the other site. However I am 2mb over the file size limit... So am working on getting the file size changed per Github instructions... Do you think your other backup system would work somehow ? My total file size is under 11Mb. Thanks...
I have installed more than 15 premium plugins at source, will this plugin migrate all these plugin as well or should I install on the destination server prior migration. Please guide, Thank you for the great channel
What do you do if the website is too big to transfer? It says receiving site can't receive the oversized data chunk. Please set the value of the Chunk size to 512 KB in plugin Settings. Can't figure out how to do that. Any work arounds? Thanks!

Rare to see a tutorial where the person not only knows what they're talking about, but also can explain it simply. Thanks. Great Plugin!!
Finally a free plugin which actually does the job. Thanks, homie.

I tried all-in-one wp migration, duplicator and they don't worked for me. This plugin that you're showing worked like a charm. Thank you.
This is the only one that worked the first time @WPTuts thank you for this video.

Your Genius!!! thanks for this video. Very helpful.
Thanks buddy, worked better than the all in one plugin...
By far the best backup and migrate plugin. Free or paid.
It's certainly the one I default to these days. The Pro version has made my life much easier and less stressful over the last 6 months or so.
Totally agree does exactly what it says on the tin.

All done! Thank you!
You didn't mention anything about DNS. That's the hardest part. I guess if you aren't using the same URL on the destination site this is good advice.
This is awesome man!
super easy and simple, thanks a lot mate.
Thank you very much sir
Great video

Did it exactly as you said very good thanks for your help
Can we use this from local to hosting?
Amazing
Thank you!!!! ♥
can you use a backup to migrate to another host. Say you closed with the original host a few months back?

Awesome thanks for this!
Hello,
Great video. I'll try it soon.
How about the new Database and user we have normaly create before ? No needed with this plugin ? They gonna automaticly create it ?
Thx
I saw that you are using DIVI, do you need to install that as well on the destination server or a basic WUP install. Thanks for the video!!!
No, you only need to install WPVivid to handle the migration - everything else will be transferred.
@@WPTuts Worked like a charm!!! Thanks for what you do!!!
Oh, wow, thanks a lot 👍
I have a few websites under the same hosting account. They consider them subdomains even though I have paid domain names for them all. Do I need to do this for each one? Someone mentioned backing up the cpanel. Do I need to do that?
how about changing the name servers for the domain to point to the new hosting?
what if we use a custom template theme, does it also transfer or do i have to install the theme on the reciever hosting ?
So I transferred in a domain name that has a Wordpress site on it. Do I install Wordpress to the domain name and then do the transfer in? How does this work if you are transferring domain name as well as site?

Thanks great video, for clarity will the source website still be active or the whole will just be transferred?
It remains active...
I tried these steps, but in during "Restore", I got this error. [2021-08-02 09:59:32][error]restore failed error unknown ... what could possible go wrong?
Hello, nice video,

Does this works on wordpress multisites? Like if I want to migrate just one of my sites to a new single server
I have my website setup as a multi site. Will this plug in let me migrate just one of my sub domains?

You had already installed DIVI on the receiving site? why+ If you copied all the files over would you need DIVI there?
Excellent
do i need another domain name for this? i want my wp site to migrate into other server without changing the domain name. how?
So if I want to switch from Ionos hosting to Site ground do I use this method? I'm rather confused. Thank you.
