Room sharing does not prevent SIDS. You need to not give false information (coming from a SIDS parent). Nothing prevents SIDS. How can you prevent something that doctors can't identify after numerous testing?
SIDS has several well known risk factors which are well documented in studies. www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/sudden-infant-death-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20352800 I'm very sorry for your loss. Of course SIDS is not 100% preventable, but it's important that mothers use what information they do have and do whatever they can to keep this tragedy from happening.
I'm very sorry for your loss, but the AAP has done studies on room sharing (not bed sharing) and results show that room sharing for at least the first 6 months does, in fact, help prevent SIDS. I think it's import for parents to be aware of the risks and also do everything in their power to prevent losing their child to SIDS. Yes, it's not 100% preventable, but I don't feel that saying it's not preventable at all is the right message to send.
@@stephaniecalvino2144 no that would be considered SUID (sudden unexpected infant death). To be SIDS it has to be 100% unexplained. False information is damanging. Don't do it!
Hi! It actually isn't flimsy at all and is very solid. The side is meant to be able to be pushed down so you can easily access baby but the base is very sturdy.
As someone who has one of these, I can assure you it most definitely is not flimsy at all. In fact it is so sturdy and the base is so heavy once this is situated by your bed, you will not want to move again cause it’s that heavy. Which is why it swivels 360^. Also the side wall is designed to push down but again if you’ve had a c-section like I’ve had, I don’t find the wall as easy to use or provide the easy access that everyone claims it provides. Aside from the swivelling, I really don’t think it’s any better than other cheaper co-sleepers out there as I am having to get hubby to pick the baby up and lay him back in the bassinest. Hope that helps
The breastfeeding timer is to make sure mom puts baby back in the bassinet after feeding
Exactly! Make sure mom didn't fall asleep with baby in arms.
I love my bassinet swivel ,it's only good for about 4 hours lol
Sunshine Mosher it don’t recline for those baby that spit up a lot or has colic that’s a no for me plus the price is Ridiculous
This doesn't make it any safer waste of money

Most SIDS deaths are preventable in the US where we consider strangulation, suffocation, wedging, and positional asphyxia as SIDS.
