I don't know why, but I think the shot of the ice-cream van crawling along and the little kid being motioned to keep quiet by Jack the Ripper just seems so perfect.
I really felt I was licked in the bollards, ....sssory, wicked in the canards, oh tthat's ducks isn't it? I was ducked in the callards. Beverley Callard, now there's a different matter, I've had racist dreams about her. But seriously, it was shite that this didn't get a fourth series.
Amazon should bring this back. They just bought MGM, and this would be easy money. Bring back Arthur!!!!! Amazon already have past seasons on, so it seems right to bring it back and have them debut on amazon if he returned. I wish it would happen.
There were some genuinely funny moments such as this and I have the series on DVD but as a longtime fan (before the tv series) I struggled with the tv series. I'm glad others love the show and the character and I agree Steve Delaney is a comic genius (just go to the live shows) so I will leave it there. I really do.
I thought that the TV series was funny, but missed something. I think that something was the change of setting. I have the complete radio series and listened to them all when first released, so, I got used to Arthur's 'universe' on the radio... With the TV series they wrote out characters like Sally, Malcolm, and Will, the settings for the cafe, pub, shop etc were all gone and/or changed. It was s winning formula, why change it? I think most viewers would be crossover audience from the radio show...most folks I know didn't watch the series as they thought it amateurish...
Let us hope that the BBC or terrestial TV buy these episodes from the production company. I love that Katherine Ryan is happy to reveal her talent to a narrower public.
Harry was a lovable fool and I liked him a lot. The Count however is a totally different beast. Harry was a nice guy just bumbling along getting into scrapes in a jolly manner. Arthur is a narcissistic maniac who causes mayhem and confusion in a hilarious manner.
The i terior s enes had axlive ayduence. The pre-filmed scenes were shown to the audience in the appropriate places and their reactions recorded. The sound balance doesn't always work though.
Love the tv shows...love the radio shows...this man is a comic genie, comic genus, och, a comic genius, I really do!
The BBC think Mrs Browns Boys is a better show than this? Shame on them. CAS is simply light years ahead in comedy talent.
I think it was PT Barnum who said that nobody has ever lost money by underestimating the taste of the general public
Less chance of a Professional Victim pretending to take false offence.
I don't know why, but I think the shot of the ice-cream van crawling along and the little kid being motioned to keep quiet by Jack the Ripper just seems so perfect.
We need more count Arthur strong on tv
Why the BBC ditched this gem has fascinated people’s donkeys for years.

There’s no comedy worth watching on any channel at the moment
Come on BBC, you could bring this show back - not too late
Netflix 1/6/21!
@@garysmith3173 No I think Amazon PRIME
Need it back on ordinary TV now
Loved the show. Didn’t discover it until lockdown. Got tickets for next years live show!
The live shows are side splitting. 👍🏼👍🏼😁😁😁😁😁
Thanks Louie for the info, just booked a couple of seats at Buxton. Saw him there years ago, he's BRILLIANT!
Got mine booked for April 9th 22, which happens to be my birthday! A happy coincidence & what a lovely susprise! You couldn't make it up!

Brilliant, love it, makes me laugh out loud every time
Delighted to see this uploaded, very funny, well done!
Seen him a few times in the theatre too .. excellent
To be fair, this is more accurate than most Ripper podcasts.
Big fan, absolutely brilliant thank you
BBC have made a big mistake not continuing this classic series.
typical BBC
Count Arthur Strong: Ripper Tours 2148pm 11.7.23 i know, i was watching the mummy returns prior to this... i need a box set of his gear....
That s how ice cream men should dress . Adds a bit of class to your raspberry ripple .
This was one of the funniest episodes of the series, along with "Stuck in the Middle"

That’s Catherine Ryan there on that street with her Umbrian accent and distinct whiff of a Macdonald’s Happy Meal. She’s made it at last.
Actually I am rather keen on this show. Very good !

Keep with it, because it does get better and better with repeat watching.
Probably ditched it for another cookery show, shame I loved this
I can see a bit of Harry Worth in CAS - not sure which bit....oh forget it!
this amazing show! can I watch it in India?
FYI everyone- the show is available in its entirety on Netflix
Not any more.
Classic TV
More please.
Imagine Arthur working at the London dungeon lol
I would love to see him in the Dundee Luncheon. I really do.
genius !
The only ripper tour I'd want to go on. Ice cream van 👌
Netflix 1/6/21!

Excellent 😂😂
The canned laughter kills it.
Ditch the laughter track please
Genius
BBC short on comedy with originality and some short-sighted exec axes this. Thank God they were not around when Monty Python came on the scene.
Fuckin epic
Bring back CAS. Brilliant
Prozzietutes and behind this Liddle!
So funny...
If you like the Count, please check out Harry Worth... A much neglected comedian, who Count Arthur Strong has based his act on.
Harry was a lovable fool and I liked him a lot.
The Count however is a totally different beast.
Harry was a nice guy just bumbling along getting into scrapes in a jolly manner.
Arthur is a narcissistic maniac who causes mayhem and confusion in a hilarious manner.
Nothing like Harry Worth.
Excuse me, I have not based my act on Harry Worth. Cheek.
Count Arthur Strong: Ripper Tours 2147pm 11/7/23 jenny's ripper tours...
So according to Arthur, Jack the Ripper was actually an encephalitic Sherlock Holmes. Interesting 🤔
Katherine Ryan!
Should have kept it the same as the radio show
Another great comedy absolutely RUINED by canned laughter. If something is genuinely funny, you do NOT need an added laughter track.
Nobody uses canned laughter in British sitcoms. It's just that the laughter is sometimes oddly-badly mixed.
The i terior s enes had axlive ayduence. The pre-filmed scenes were shown to the audience in the appropriate places and their reactions recorded. The sound balance doesn't always work though.
This is comedy ?
Didn't laugh once 😶
Cut the taped laughter is sounds dated and corny plus its a big turn off, which I did.
It’s not fake laughter.
What are you babbling on about- its a masterpiece. Do you always track down shows you don't like and post negative comments??
Fair enough, your opinion. But your loss, in MY opinion.
The canned laughter is a bit rubbish. However, not rubbish enough to spoil a brilliant show.
It isn't fake laughter, they had a real audience.
Imagine Arthur working at the London dungeon lol
