this is so true dude i use to wake up with a bad mood cranky and my gameplay affected me with lack of focus mentally. I took a break for a couple weeks been going to the gym, eating better and sleeping more. I been playing the last few days and went from Champ 1 to Champ 3 pretty quick this is the highest i have been in rank 2's queing solo. All this is super beneficial especially just having good energy and confidence in your self can take you a long way.
A few weeks ago I noticed after playing indoor soccer i was more energized than usual when I hopped on Rocket League. So Ive been making sure to do a workout prior to getting on RL. Definitely has helped with my focus and speed!
Rocket League actually does have a physical aspect to it, albeit a typically small one and it is mostly mental. Being able to move your fingers in exactly the way you want them to move is extremely important. Most people don't seem to struggle with this much, but I've experienced it a lot. I have a severe anxiety disorder and when I play competitively, a lot of times I get very anxious and my hands start shaking uncontrollably, which prevents me from controlling my car nearly as well as usual - I may flip the wrong way on accident, whiff a ball because my thumb twitched the stick the wrong way, hit jump on accident from my thumb shaking, etc. and there are people with more serious disorders or injuries/defects that physically prevent them from reaching their full potential. But yeah, average people have a good amount of control over their hands so in those cases it is 100% mental.
@@blakxnz dude, I'm saying. 1s is where my hands shake the worst. I'm high gc1 in 2s but I struggle staying in c1 in 1s because I can't fucking move my car how I want lol

I have noticed in the past that on the days I don't go to the gym and get a workout in (I.e. the weekend, where I have the most time to play rl) I tend to play significantly worse. Sometimes I only get an hour to play on the weekdays but even so I've climbed up to 1300 Elo only to drop down to 1150 on the weekend when I should be playing better because I have more time to warmup. Long story short, thanks for reminding me that even if I'm on a rest day and don't go into the gym that going on a 30 min walk is still an exercise and a great way to get the blood moving. Also just getting your diet in check in general will make you feel like you have a lot more energy throughout the day.
Fantastic video wayton! This was a very unique and cool video to watch and i really enjoyed it! Also as you said that as you do it for longer your performance becomes better it'd be cool if you did a video after a couple of months doing a conclusion on this overall and etc!
