I had a Hornet when I was around 12 , before I got the better Associated RC-10 for racing. I remeber that sticker sheet because it was around and used for random stickers on our RC cars for years LOL
I owned a super similar one by a german brand, tronico Gelände Fuchs. Same livery, same chassis. I'm currently making a podracer and a defender, but not sure I'll finish for the challenge! Such a cool project. All the best for your entry!!
Dude, great job! Your attention to detail on getting the physics of the car right for its scale is my favorite part of your project! I'm starting to learn how to render, and this project gives me hope that in due time, I can pull some sick stuff off! Hope you make it to the main show!
Hold on, this is incredible. I got hooked by the narration and forgot I clicked in the vid only to see the final result, you got soemthing great here bud.
Btw am not a 3d artist but a 2d artist so idk much about the technology behind the 3d renders, but you'res has this 2000s ish rendering feel, where the shadows are darker then usual and give off a feeling of not having bounce light (noticeable on the trees and not so much on the car) why is that? Am rly curious what's diffrent
@@Rodutchi This was because of how I used images of trees rather than models to help with performance. You can see a much more extreme version of this towards the end with one of the Eevee renders. I agree it doesn’t look realistic, but it helps get the point across in cycles.
1st off. Great video - your break down was superb. And hats off to a great render. I had one of these rc cars when I was a kid. You got the feel, movement and everything of this 100%!
I love the breakdown. Seeing how you are also a relative beginner (well I am not really beginner, more like a " well blender seems to be fun I should do sth with it"), I love hearing about your way of doing things Great vid, you should really do more
Now I’m not 100% on all the rules but was there a rule for depth of field because that’s the only think I think that would make this better, it would make it look smaller with a shallower depth of field which would then make it seem more realistic, apart from that looks great
@@bikramjitroy6155 or my scene is extremely big in every aspect and the requirement of the client is superb quality render. Guys You must be pretty new in this business. I used to render one frame for over two weeks.

The Tamiya Hornet! I had one of these as a kid! Awesome work!

Surprised you don't have more subscribers, great render and easily top 100 imo.
Thanks! I’d like to make more videos in the future (maybe not like this) so hopefully more people will tune in.
@@mori_geest you have a great commentating voice and all the skills one would need to make a video, I say go for it

Did you use pbr for ground texture?
Please can you teach me animation
3 hours of render in total... Meanwhile I'm waiting whole day for my single image to render...
If u r waiting whole day to render just one frame, that means u r doing something wrong.
@@bikramjitroy6155 or have a weak pc
Yeah get a gpu
@@matthewgartner5339 I'm not spending absurd amount of money on a 48GB VRAM GPU just to fit the scene in.
