At 2:35 there is a mistake concerning the Y axis of the graph. Instead of -75% it showed -175%
they fixed it
Interesting graph at 2:36, goes -25-50 -175... -100 haha

8:25, a second wave? The first one never ended!!
Hi Wall Street Journal, I like your content. I love watching your videos.
Blame Boeing for building a flying coffin.
Boeing largest customer is China. Since tensions are rising between US & China, China may just ban Boeing.
That will give Airbus and others huge advantage.
A single plane supplier. After the 737 max issues that would be a huge risk. What if Airbus encounters issues? Relying on one player is a dangerous thing
@@khavaliar Are you an avgeek
@@khavaliar Because what airbus plane would be crashing the A320neo or A220
@@siyaaviation3659 If history is a guide, possibly A320. They have a lot of crashes in their early days. Although, a lot of those are primarily pilot error.
Don't forget China has its own brand soon, COMAC. Decrease order is a given in the future for both Boeing and Airbus. (Not totally yet as COMAC only has a narrow body).
They really didn't even cover that Boeing is killing a couple aircraft and closing down there facility in Evert WA and shifting production to the Carolinas.
Which is known for substandard quality control. The talent pool is not as strong in the Carolinas.
Thanks to Jay Inslee raising taxes

One thing people do not get into their heads is that this is COVID! ALL the projections are atleast 5 years too optimistic. 🥺

Because Vaccine production is still unknown, you can research a vaccine but making large scale is challenging. Right now, vaccine research will be complete at the end of 2021 but to give everyone in the world will be end of 2024 if the vaccine pop up today.
Most surviving airlines will just buy 2nd hand aircraft since they are plentiful and cheaper than buying brand new thus killing production on producing new aircraft. Yes, economy will recover but not Airlines, they be dead till 2025.
4:41 That broom and dustpan are really fascinating...
Is it just me or the y-axis on the graph at 2:36 makes no sense? lol.
There's a typo, the graph does make sense. It should be written 75% instead of 175%.
AWESOME !!!
“Prodcution” - pls fix
And here I am spending 150k + on an aviation degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
150k!! Are you nuts!?! I paid 25k of my BS ME degree.
Run away from them before you hit $200K! like my son, and he’s jobless!!! They are a fraud!!
@@mp8129 Sorry to hear that. I actually got accepted into the FAA academy for Air Traffic Control.
Nice video
if only it wasn't for the stupid engine placement and the infamous software, the 737Max would have been an awesome success and now, everyone, including the suppliers are paying the price
Lesson: don't try one-upmanship on your competition. Just build good, stable products.
There's a huge number of issues with the 737 Max. Trying to keep it "the same plane" for pilot certification and training advantages while meeting radically different modern design goals and using modern design techniques was a recipe for disaster. Good job emphasizing that "the suppliers are paying the price" instead of the hundreds of people killed.
@@johnstonefield1935 To be fair, starving people will be dead soon.
Besides, those two cannot be ignored.
Boeing went the McDonnel way just like Douglas Aircraft was killed.
Nobody works Fridays on the west coast anyways. Production jobs go nowhere. Companies nowadays expect employees to literally do anything (in terms of their job duties) without increase in pay or increase in formal position with the company. Start automating middle management jobs so production workers can throw their lives away for maybe a little more money.
Look at what is happening at ExxonMobil with middle management employees
Thats why china grew this large.....
Production note: Please spend your time getting your audio levels consistent between contributers rather than the 2020 fad of smothering the whole piece in annoying plonkety plonk "music"!!

Never expected AFA has such an attractive CEO o.o
i am more curios about when Boeing management will be prosecuted for murder?!
True the 737 max was a shame!!
Having a badly built plane is not the reason to be charged with murder. Everyone knows the risk when they get into an airplane
@@catchgenerics8667 are you joking, right? or you have some investment in Boeing? Management was directly involved in the development of 737MAX and very well the reason why we had two crashes!
Is unbelievable we still have comments like yours..
A decade to recover... either this guy is depressive or we all are going to die.
They are using crushers wine glasses to fix roads and tar overlay to avoid rats. Sometimes rubber tyres burst. Powder quality. Sometimes fly ash. Sometimes drainage waste sand.
they can supply tupolev and sukhoi but get half salary to survive
The aviation industry can be saved if they convert their planes to the type that was in the movie "The Fifth Element." Put every passenger inside a sealed cabin.
Someone at WSJ is regretting the Production Mistake at 5:10
And at 4:10, someone needs to learn how to spell production

75% Boeing...no diversified. 100% commercial aerospace too a bet.
There are only two main companies make planes, One in Airbus in Europe and 2nd is Boeing... where do you expect them to diversify? Maybe they do have 1000's of other clients in other industries but only a handful of industrial companies need tools worth Billions.
FORGET BOEING. TURN TO SPACE X
Everyone knwos about the aerospace industry news pls report on auto industry - its down too and has global reach.
I work in the industry, and I've seen some of the brightest minds let go. It looks like recovery is a way's away, with Boeing announcing another 7,000 job cuts. At least the '37 MAX is closer to re-cert. I'll take that!
You know Boeing is doing a review of the cut every three months now which means possible more cut every three months.
@@omega91006 that's believable and expected in this climate, really
I suspect that 5G and fibre internet growth will also slow their recovery.
There is no good alternative to breathing
Boeing also has an unhappy history in the aviation crisis.
If Navy push through the double body being 777 with aircraft hanger in the middle as air craft carrier for testing heart land air craft carrier for faster response and safe operation and time response. Change wiring to flat wire and laser beam wiring inside the PC pipe to reduce signals leak. This contract could ease Boeing hard time
Inflated space module for good for NASA. And new engine of sideways arrangement as anti gravity and hot electric air using electric heater
Converting the grounding planes to recover cost and use for military Poseidon P8 anti submarine airplane
Jet age is over. Because air density can be manipulated and gravity generator could add extra weight up to 5 time normal weigh and that dangerous
Uzbekistan Airlines has renewed domestic flights, and it has not affected daily cases a bit. You can't take off your mask until you leave the airplane and the premises of the airport.

• Gulfstream Aviation
• Hawker Beechctaft
• ICON Aircraft
• Lockheed Martin
• Mooney International Corporation
• Northrop Grumman
• Piper Aircraft
• Pratt and Whitney

Sabotage on a mass scale. Think like an “economic hit man” start with simple things that all add up to a huge problem and here we are. Many little problems adding up to a degenerative state. The problem is we find it impossible to think like evil on a mass scale so it is hard to put all the little pieces together that are leading us straight to our collective demise. For the most part we and representatives are to drunk, stoned, high and preoccupied with sex/self gratification to see what is really happening.
What about air pollution, noise pollution, tourism pollution, microbe transportation to 4 corners of the earth, overdevelopment, and nasty people and attitudes moving around like a virus of sociopathetic madness!

Airlines business is dead, you know that right
No it isn't. You are misinformed, you know that right?
This is what you get when you build a business model around an industry as selfish and fragile as the tourist industry. It never made sense why I would board a plane to vacation when I haven't seen a fraction of the location around my home within driving distance. It's upside down as driving 30min or more a day to work when we should be able to buy/rent within walking/biking distance from work.
