Thank you, Shawn, from a TRTA member in the Houston area! WEP affected me because my first 11 years of teaching were in NY. I appreciate all the work you’ve put in on this. Any friend of Tim Lee’s is a friend of mine! It’s still surreal to me that this got done, and not with a new formula, but with COMPLETE repeal! Thanks, again, to you, and your whole organization!

Thank you Shawn from a municipal pensioner in Miichigan! For a long time I have been watching your videos hoping for a repeal of the WEP/GPO and you were a bright beacon during this time! I hope you know how much you have helped public retirees not only from Massachusetts but from Michigan and other states as well! God bless you for your awesome work on behalf of all of us that have suffered with these two laws!

Thank You Shawn, I maxed out my SS points working for 13 yrs for a pharmaceutical company in MA. Before working 30 yrs for the Mass. DOC. I received 428 dollars a month from SS. What a Rip Off! In December of 2022, under your direction I call Congressman McGoverns office and vented, although respectfully, It finally paid off, And I Thank you Shawn for all your help and dedication.

I hope implementation of the new law will be a priority for SSA. I'm already seeing articles saying it will be too difficult and too costly to implement and any other number of reasons why it won't get done. Will trust that unions and lawmakers who supported the bill will keep the pressure on to bring it to fruition with money in the bank. We need it. Thanks again for all you do.

Can't wait when I turned 62 (just turned 58). Hopefully GOP/WEP totally gone by that time. Thank you all who made it happen. God bless.

My father and I were Phila. Police Officers. When Dad died, Mom was financially punished by GPO and Dad and I by WEP. I am still working @ 70 and in Oct.2024 when I turned 70, SSA took $772 a month off my earned benefit that I paid into the fund before, a little bit during and much after my Law Enforcement career even though I retired from the PPD in 1999, 25 years before applying for SS in 2024. I trust the repeal will make me whole. Unfortunately, my Dad & Mom as WEP-GPO victims will never be made whole. We must inspect the way SSA rolls this out though. Thank you for your work. PPD Ret.

Thank You Shawn for all the hard work to repeal WEP/WPO. I now live in a right to work state and this bill did not have alot of support. Without union leaders like you we would have never seen this change. Roger Reeves retired Detroit Fire Dept. I worked a second job outside of the city because my salary was way below the big three auto workers. Thank You and may GOD BLESS.

Thank you from Puerto Rico who also have many retired teachers, police agents, firefighters and other government retirees who were affected by this law. We are very happy that the bill was signed by President Biden.

Has your Social Security benefit been reduced due to you also receiving a public pension? If so, the answer to your question is yes.

This will clearly benefit a lot of people. Unfortunately, I feel this will cost me even more than the WEP was going to cost me when they "fix" Social Security before 2033.
