+cl1cka the difference is Pat asks them how much it is for the system and the game. He says check the systems because sometimes there is a rare game in them. He never tries to get them to sell something with out them knowning.
+Jordan3D likewise, i love it and when i get things going on my channel, i'll document my swap meet adventures and give Pat credit for the original concept, letting ppl know that i didnt start this, but was inspired by another youtuber.
The year is 2020 - flea markets as a source of video game shopping has dissipated. Resellers ended up being the only visitors to these locations, only to meet other resellers. eBay rules supreme, and it is considered merciful to buy a Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt cartridge for $30. Even then, you will have to vigorously bid against an art major student who wishes to use these cartridges to make a project of a beaver. Welcome to the future.
Eissari4 it's the hardcore collector who will suffer. Gamers will pay $30 for a game anyday. Just get over the fact that people who know what they have are trying to inflate the market, but there's alot of ppl who still have games who don't know what they have, those people are at garage sales or they passed away and are having an estate sale.
+Pixel “RETRO” Vision Pat probably goes the flea markets all the time but either the ones he goes to are too small to make a full video, or are too boring.
+Pixel “RETRO” Vision The problem is that most of the really good deals are gone because of more people learning about flea markets and and everyone using ebay and such to set prices. Plus he's already got most things he really wants.
Orbus G Hmm, so that must be it. Good thing flea markets here in the Philippines, guys don't know jack shit about ebay so I get stuff like a Gameboy Pocket for 5$.
+Hugh James Cooksley That is a very rare system and will fetch a damn good price on Ebay. Pat scoffed at the price but the guy knew what he had period.
I have that SP ^_^ didn't realise the value had shot up. Still have my red and silver Mario one also. I have a Pokemon (Pikachu) GameCube controller too...is that worth a small fortune? Nice to know, but I'd never sell my childhood! Just whilst I'm on...I have a LoZ wrist watch from the late 80s, often wondered if that would be worth a few $$$
It amazes me how much some of the GBA Micro systems boxed go for these days. I remember seeing them in shops for only £20 brand new around just before the DS first came out.
+IWALVG I can't believe GB Micros are going for that much now! I consider myself lucky for finding one with a missing faceplate and battery cover as well as a dead battery for $3 last year. Recently found a replacement battery, cover, and custom faceplate: works like a charm!
***** Considering just HOW overpriced retro stuff is now, yes, a complete-in-box Micro for that price IS a steal. Even AFTER the retro fad crashes, a complete GBM for under $50 is still a decent price.
+IWALVG Yeah. I was really surprised by that one. I have one I keep in a coat pocket for video game "emergencies" and want to replace it. Or get one in the opposite color to make solid black or silver... Very cool find I say.
+IWALVG Ya, definitely jealous. I had the 20th anniversary Famicom edition red/gold one in near mint condition. However, it was too hard on my old eyes and I ended up selling it to put towards a WiiU. I regret that, haven't seen a near mint one in awhile to repurchase.
Pat, you are a market genius. It is so entertaining watching and listening to all of the knowledge you have about games, computers, and 80's, and 90's pop culture items. Keep these coming, I've watched them all!
I miss the days when majority of the sellers had no clue about what they had, and they priced everything to sell because they didn't want to have to pack it up again. I hardly go to the flea market anymore because it's always the same three resellers who farm the place out right before opening and then mark everything up to ridiculous prices. Waiting for yard sale season....
YAAAAYYYY!!! It's back! The collectible car sellers are everywhere up here. I wasn't too into them as a kid (more a Transformers kid), but I had my favorites. I saw a Hot Wheels Alien 62 from 1988 at one of these flea markets up here and I had to get it. Had one as a kid and lost it in the great toy purge of '91. :( 10:29 I have that! It's great!
I love how that Wario guy doesn't go out of his way to hide the fact that he's a re-seller by just going straight to his stall with all the games displayed after his purchase. XD
Yayyyyyyyy a new FMM! Thanks Pat I missed these a lot! I know you've been really busy with your book, the podcast, and hell whatever else is on your plate, but I'm really happy you got around to another one of these :)
Retro Game Players hahahahahaha :D im going to contact you when i feel better my friend, im hoping tomorrow but probably the day after that :S hope you are doing good man !
The best snag from the trip's gotta be that rad GB Micro set I gotta say. Solid cop there Pat, you are a very lucky lad! Been watching this show from the get-go and they were consistently entertaining thus far up to now. Do something special for the FMM's 30th episode dude, this series is far out!
That "$80-$90" power strip the guy said looked like the same one I picked up at Ollie's a few years back for $15. And Frank picking up the Stan Lee DVD brought back memories. I went to a yard sale where they had it and a bunch of other pre-Disney/Marvel superhero DVDs. The older lady there said 25 cents a piece. Before I could grab all I wanted, the daughter showed up and said $2 each. So I grabbed the Stan Lee one and one other one.
God I miss these !!! , always get so excited when a new episode pops up ... almost just as excited as I do when a new game of thrones or walking dead comes lol
Haha I had that Fisher Price barn as a kid, too. Actually, I still have a Fisher Price castle up in my closet that's waiting for my grand kids to be born. I had that Ninja Turtles case, too.
Just wanna say thanks Pat for these awesome videos :) You inspired me to go game hunting and record it also. in my latest vid i found an awesome nes bundle and its started me collecting for it again. Keep up the good work! The retro is still out and about you have to just be persistent. You guys always seem to see retro but its not as common in the uk in the wild. Say hi to Frank for me :D
Hey Pat! I had the black inflatable that had "Nintendo GameCube"on it. It was a promotional giveaway from Kmart if you bought a GC at launch. awesome looking chair but popped easily. wish I had one again for my boy!
I used to work in the Target Stockroom, every once in a while we would get someone sneaking into the stockroom trying to go through the Hot Wheels cars looking for something valuable.
I can't believe you successfully bargained down the Gameboy Micro in box. I'd have jumped at the $65 price. I'd have probably even paid that for a loose one.
I just don't see the appeal in getting that version of the GBA with the SP, and DS/Lite doing the same, and more. Then again I'm not super into game collecting.
omg i kick myself to this day since i found a gba micro n box with faceplate for80 bucks and i didnt buy it since i didnt bring much money and came back the week after and it was gone i was like dammit i should have told the dude to hang on to it.
I had a similar TMNT action figure case back in the day. I think it is still in my parents attic... probably half melted from the heat. I should get those when I visit next, also should get my CIB Power Ranger zords that I should just sell.
Pat, you dropped the ball on those sportscards. The early 90's were indeed junk, but '96 and on has some extremely valuable stuff. I'd honestly check for that guy next time.
"it's a very rare surge protector"
lolwut
It warms my heart that Frank has his own intro and basically his own theme.
Wario got roasted.
+Absolute Absol toasted and burnt to a crisp
+cl1cka the difference is Pat asks them how much it is for the system and the game. He says check the systems because sometimes there is a rare game in them.
He never tries to get them to sell something with out them knowning.
Waaaaaa! have a rotten day :P
+Christopher Rowe Ha! Salute Your Shorts, loved that as a kid!
Ha.Gaaaaaaaay.
0:23 - Franks dance never fails to make me smile
At this point I'm jealous more than anything else that Pat has access to a large scale flea market.
+Hector Garfria if you dont have a huge one, it helps if you have multiple.
when are we getting a "bbq with Frank" show?
+SirGeeeO I said about that before, and a 'green fingered Frank' show or something :D
+SirGeeeO I thought the same thing.
Seems like such a good time. Flea Market then a BBQ with the coolest baby boomer.
+SirGeeeO
YES, i'd love to see that
I haven't seen that TMNT case since I was a kid. No telling where mine is now. That was awesome
This series is such a guilty pleasure of mine...
+Jordan3D likewise, i love it and when i get things going on my channel, i'll document my swap meet adventures and give Pat credit for the original concept, letting ppl know that i didnt start this, but was inspired by another youtuber.

+Kevin Yoo and vapourwave is still dead
+Kevin Yoo I'd like to hear more about the beaver.
+Kevin Yoo i really hope that you are wrong about the future, your fortunetelling is as dark as that of doomsday prophets.
Just think how powerful Wario will be by then!
Eissari4 it's the hardcore collector who will suffer. Gamers will pay $30 for a game anyday. Pat's FM videos are done the best I've ever seen. The editting is done to perfection with the live and post commentary.
You should upload these more often. I mean, CUPodcast is cool and all, hearing retro gaming discussions but what about collecting?
+Pixel “RETRO” Vision Pat probably goes the flea markets all the time but either the ones he goes to are too small to make a full video, or are too boring.

120 for a used gba sp LMFAO.
+Hugh James Cooksley That is a very rare system and will fetch a damn good price on Ebay. Pat scoffed at the price but the guy knew what he had period.
+monopoman They regularly sell for LESS than $120 on Ebay. And this was not recorded recently.
+Pat the NES Punk I was lucky to find this SP for $10 with a game inside.
I have that SP ^_^ didn't realise the value had shot up.
Still have my red and silver Mario one also.
I have a Pokemon (Pikachu) GameCube controller too...is that worth a small fortune?
Nice to know, but I'd never sell my childhood!

+monopoman This isn't Ebay. You don't go to a flea market to pay ebay prices.
It amazes me how much some of the GBA Micro systems boxed go for these days. I remember seeing them in shops for only £20 brand new around just before the DS first came out.
That CIB GB Micro was an absolute STEAL at the price you paid. Great stuff, Pat!
+IWALVG I can't believe GB Micros are going for that much now! I consider myself lucky for finding one with a missing faceplate and battery cover as well as a dead battery for $3 last year. Recently found a replacement battery, cover, and custom faceplate: works like a charm!

Passive aggressive pat

Waiting for yard sale season....
Watching this while I eat dinner.
+Intimidation Hah! I always do this.
+Richard Troupe +Intimidation I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this.
Home made fried chicken and mashed potatoes.
I was eating BBQ turkey breast stir fry followed by a huge bowl of porridge and about 10 chocolate rice cakes...
I was hungry. Haha!
I do the same lol I watch his vids while eating
Love watching these vids on a Sunday 🤘🏾
YAAAAYYYY!!! It's back!

10:29 I have that! It's great!
YES! I love these videos. I know you already have most things you could ever want so these are more of a chore to make but this format is great.
7:47 there is snoopy snow cone maker! We had one of those when I was a kid.
My favorite series from Pat thus far.
I can't get enough of this Pat!!
nice episode dude, happy to see you getting back to your original format as you wrapped up the book project, best of luck to you in both my friend.
LMFAO.... "I told you not to talk about that" - FRANK
OMG! So happy to see a new volume! I so very much enjoy these! Thanks, and great work, Pat!
"Hello"?
"Frank"
"Yeah"
"Swap meeeeet"
"Yeah,
I love these. I don't have much of a flea market in my area, so I enjoy seeing all this stuff.
Yes!!!!!!!!!! FMM episodes is like finding a rare game for $1 does not happen often but when it does your thrilled
You should also Include "what did frank get?" in the ending.
I love how the reseller had mario music playing and by the time Pat was finished from his sick burn the death sound played...perfect timing!
11:05 is the funniest thing I've ever heard Frank say!

You know it's a good day when a new Flea Market Madness video comes out!
Its about ding dang doodly time another Flea Market Madness comes out. THANK YOU PAT!!!!
What game was in the Pikachu SP that "cost $30"
That "$80-$90" power strip the guy said looked like the same one I picked up at Ollie's a few years back for $15.
And Frank picking up the Stan Lee DVD brought back memories. I went to a yard sale where they had it and a bunch of other pre-Disney/Marvel superhero DVDs. The older lady there said 25 cents a piece. aah finally new flee market madness. The very best there is on youtube
Haha I had that Fisher Price barn as a kid, too. Actually, I still have a Fisher Price castle up in my closet that's waiting for my grand kids to be born. I had that Ninja Turtles case, too.
Random guy: Anybody know about this game? Space Football? Pat: l think it's football in space. Priceless. Just priceless.
These are great to watch on days where I want to go to the flea market.
Happy days, another flea market madness, the original and still the best (even if less often) Thanks Pat :)
GBA Micro! Man, I've always been interested in getting one of those. I regret not getting one when they came out. Nice find!
When I move out to Cali, I'm gonna sell off my extra games. Maybe Pat and Frank will shop on by.
Did you pick up the combat? its cool with them tanks and all, you know what i'm talking about right? combat.
Whats the music at 10:40
Hey Pat! I had the black inflatable that had "Nintendo GameCube"on it. It was a promotional giveaway from Kmart if you bought a GC at launch. awesome looking chair but popped easily. wish I had one again for my boy!
I've been waiting ..... And waiting... And waiting ..... Then rewatching old episodes..... Yay it's here!!!!!
Awesome vintage finds pat!, that ryu chibi figure is around 15 or so bucks ..3 bucks is a steal.
I used to work in the Target Stockroom, every once in a while we would get someone sneaking into the stockroom trying to go through the Hot Wheels cars looking for something valuable.
Finally! PLEASE DON'T STOP MAKING THESE!
I've missed flea market madness it's great to see it back.
I can't believe you successfully bargained down the Gameboy Micro in box. I'd have jumped at the $65 price. I'd have probably even paid that for a loose one.
their $80 round my parts no box
I just don't see the appeal in getting that version of the GBA with the SP, and DS/Lite doing the same, and more. Then again I'm not super into game collecting.
omg i kick myself to this day since i found a gba micro n box with faceplate for80 bucks and i didnt buy it since i didnt bring much money and came back the week after and it was gone i was like dammit i should have told the dude to hang on to it.
outta the way hippie!
+Loch SNES monster Best bonus ever!!!
"God i'm getting old" ain't that the truth brother.
+StarReel with age comes wisdom, and hopefully better deals.
LOL @ asking Wario about his score... You should mess with him more often Pat.
I had a similar TMNT action figure case back in the day. I think it is still in my parents attic... probably half melted from the heat. I should get those when I visit next, also should get my CIB Power Ranger zords that I should just sell.
Thanks for posting! These are always fun to watch!
"Out of the way hippie!"
"Yeah."
LMAO!
dammit, spotted a Meryl and Snake Mcfarlane figure pack!
At 2:45 I laughed at Pat's reaction.
3:07 Beast Wars supreme cheetor?! That's like 5-20 bucks lol
Thanks for bringing the show back!!! keep em comin
I fully expect to see Pat and Frank's barbecue bonanza once the pandemic is over
Pat, you dropped the ball on those sportscards. The early 90's were indeed junk, but '96 and on has some extremely valuable stuff. I'd honestly check for that guy next time.
Really entertaining episode, which makes me want to rush to a local flea market to find some good stuff.
I'd buy Pat for a dollar!
+ThePreciseClimber Throw in Ian for an extra 50 cents.
+ThePreciseClimber lol i like the spin on the popular robocop line.
@@burningpapersun1 Best i can do is fiddy cents for both. Ian gunna cost me an arm and a leg to keep alive on booze and weed.
Just wanted to say thanks for continuing the flea market madness videos. It's been a while since you posted one.
My favorite segment on this channel
At 11:41 there is a vintage Dinorider toy still in the box. Please tell me you bought it!!
2:54 I like his Nicholas Cage Meltdown
the reseller from 7:25 looks like Graham Greene from Die Hard with a Vengeance
These videos are great, always fun to watch. Smart buys.
11:03 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
I'm so done. That silence after frank said that.
Yeah Pat! Thanks for lettings us know where you at!
Happy to see a new Flea Market show! Nice, Pat.
Came to this channel for the reviews, stayed for the flea market madness.
I love these. One day we will have VR Flea Market Madness.. or LIVE Flea Market Madness.
Been waiting for this episode for ages!!!!!!!!!!! Nice one pat please do more.
That guy trying to sell the overprice outlet was probably like "oh no man I stole that thing 5$ wont get me much crack."
2:26
That black keyboard looks a lot like a PR1101U....
Hey Pat, Which morning of the weekend is the best to hit up Kobey's for games?
This is what got me into your channel
7:22 That was awesome
Damn Pat, you should have grabbed those D&D books! That Daredevil cup was a sweet find, I totally would have grabbed all of those.
MY FAVORITE SERIES ! MORE OF THESE !!!!
