Can NTUC increase the cleaners in Lau Pat Sat, it's extremely unsanitary, tray collection stations are full during peak periods, and no cleaners really wipe down the tables.
Old people are inefficient, replace all the cleaners with robots and you get actually clean Lau Pa Sat.
More cleaners means higher food prices...this is a clear trend among all the kopitiam chains.

No offence but…just get a tissue to wipe off then if u want to be really clean wet wipe? My 2 must bring when I’m out eating, meeting someone overseas they love to go there for some reason. Then while waiting you can do all these mah no really much of a deal
Interesting! Never knew its so dang old!
fascinating piece of history. i’m so curious where in jurong the bits of LPS’s columns were stored, and who funded the re-building of LPS. kudos for restoring it for all to enjoy. 👏
Waiitt.... Question: When did Lau Pa Sat look like the Lau Pa Sat that we see today with the iconic steel beams and colonial inspired architecture? 1973 when it's converted into a food centre or 1833 when it was renovated?
That place is a known tourist trap.
❤❤❤
It’s still there
Where is the New Pa Sat then?
So sad, Singapore is losing all the good food at (sustainable &) affordable prices, what will eventually happen is we will only have those very high prices "luxury" food.😢 extremely high land prices will affect the consumers when the firms no choice but to keep raising prices due to ever increasing rental...
Who eats chicken rice with kopi o peng?
Lau Pa Sat famous food is Pork Satay
Never talk about how it was sold to Kopitiam from the government in the 1990s
Because its overpriced
LPS...overpriced and overrated.
