Stellar Don, just stellar! Thank you SO much! I was always working so much in the 80s and 90s, then I was married with kids in the ‘00s -‘14... Then my wife left me and my kids were grown up, so now, finally, in 2021 I at last have the time and the opportunity to sit back and enjoy all these wonderful, absolutely terrific Letterman moments! Thank you ever so much for all your good work, Don! I, and the thousands of guys just like me, so very much appreciate it!!
People like the late great Steve Allen may have pioneered the asking of goofy questions by hosts of regular people and celebrities, but Letterman was the first and perhaps only talk show host to make an entire show revolve around that concept. Brilliant!!
Thank you again Don! Can you please, please, please post some of the 'Creepy Dave' segments. I can't find them anywhere on UA-cam. It was a tape of Dave behind the set (behind the guest chairs) asking the live Dave to "Check it out man?" I saw a glimpse recently when Prince was on in the 90's. It was one my favorite things from the show and only did if for about a year. Thank you again for sharing your vast Letterman Library!
I’ve been looking for the one where it ends with Dave and the toupee salesman fighting crime with their blowdryers. “Freeze you sucker!” I’ve never been able to find the clip here though.
3:52 Dave: And what is this model? Hairpiece Guy: This model is called the "Michael Shannon." Dave: And who is that? Hairpiece Guy: You'll meet him someday.
At 4:38 Dave looks almost exactly the same as he did in his high school picture :D Also very nice to see Dave in a Team Rahal shirt, as he wouldn't become co-owner of the team until 2004! Anyway, my final conclusion is that light blond doesn't suit neither him nor Paul. It washes their complexions out, in my opinion. Thanks for reading.
. Yes !! Just found that out.....and just like Liberace, Greene did EVERYTHING in his power NEVER to be seen publicly without his fake "thatch". In fact, there's a story on the internet about a time he was filming a scene in water on Bonanza, when he lost his hairpiece after going under, but wasn't going to come out of the water until he got it back.......which he did, but after slapping it back on his head and finally emerging from the water, the crew started cracking up because they realized that he had managed to put it back on his head crooked......though, apparently, he didn't really care, since he was just grateful to have it back on his head (apparently he was DEATHLY afraid somebody with a camera on the set would shoot him without 'the piece' on his head, and that shot would somehow get out!) !! .

This is an absolute gem

Thank you Don! Once again you deliver smiles and great memories!
I don’t know how on earth I missed both those segments. Classic Dave. Thanks Don!
Nickolas looks like that character "Morrie" in Scorsese film Goodfellas. (Morrie's Wig Shop commercial)
Great now-and-then pairing, Don! You've gotten better and better with these postings, thank you!
Thank you Don!! I always loved when Dave and Paul would do this kind of thing. Yul Brynner and Paul Shaffer made being 'bald' very cool.
Good lord, that street shot at the end was hilarious.
"Do you have any loose joints", LOL. I love weird weedy Dave, like when he was grunting "schwag" and "diggity dank" with Manny the Hippie.
PS You're the best, Donz, thank you for your scholarship!
Dan Aykroyd, Jack Hanna and Boyz 2 Men - that’s a pretty impressive lineup of guests in one night.
All wore hairpieces.
Brilliant first 30 seconds just genius.
Comedy Gold!
I enjoyed the video

We’ll see. And thanks!

Don, have you made a compilation of great rock guitarists on Letterman ie Steve Vai, Van Halen, Eric Johnson etc....?
Only Eddie shortly after he passed - ua-cam.com/video/6vHL4gyYjnY/v-deo.html
You're doing God's work, Don
Nicky's wigs don't come off at the wrong time!

Dave repping CBS early
How about the episode where Dave gets his hair trimmed and washed, and emerges with - in his words - the "Bobby Vinton look"?
Paul looks nice in a wig
Anybody know where I can get Letterman's 49er's goldrush beard? (Grizzled, preferably).

9:16 is Dave channeling his inner Crispin Glover?
Don't buy wigs that come off at the wrong time. Nicky's wigs DON'T COME OFF! Even under the water.
😂👍
Gotta do the monkey can and stupid pet tricks..and the akka seltzer suit
