Nice s2k, but that splitter isn't functional at all with those gaps, Also the large holes you drilled at the bottom for the bolts will affect wind turbulence. If this is just for looks I guess it's okay but it's definitely not functional. You could try filling in the gaps with weather stripping to make it a little more functional.
It's a rubber trim used between fender flares. Can't remember the exact one I used but it was something like this. www.amazon.com/dp/B08CRMWR7H/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_KWNAEASQCYW1HDA5H2A0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
@@thatredcam too flexible, not strong enough to create any amount of down force or even hold up to the air resistance driving at even a relatively high speed. For reference, most people use 1/2" plywood if they're making a cheap splitter. Look at how much this stuff flexes when he lifts it up in the beginning of the video, it's just not enough from the start.

@@paulyzee Nice, I used to have a yellow AP2 a couple of years ago. I loved it. I saw your video because I was looking for ideas to protect the front lip on my vette and realized that you’re in Charlotte. Long story short, I went and bought a 4’ x 8’ sheet of 1/4 inch ABS from Piedmont Plastics. Lol

Hi, I want to know what kind of meterial you use to mold the wings in the end of splitter
Your s2k has the perfect Ride height
Excellent car
I’m like 15 mins from piedmont plastics in Raleigh. I looked online and couldn’t browse their inventory. Is there a storefront?
I'm not sure, I just called them asked for prices on 1/4" black ABS.
Can we see what the spacers look like
good stuff
great video very informative

what is that grey material between the lip and the bumper? Does it prevent the lip from scratching the bumper?
Yeah helps prevent scratches.
@@paulyzee right, but what is that material? Is it like caulking substance or a tapelike? Where can I get it? Thanks for the reply.

Hey Paulie where I’m nc you live bro I’m in Raleigh bro maybe we could link sometime
I'm in Charlotte
it just needs a couple splitter rods
Does the abs plastic warp in the sun?
Nah, had it on for years without any issues.
Yo what kind of spacers did you put on the splitter? I need to know asap lol
Can't remember exactly but I did get them at home depot in the hardware section.
Make sure it’s hubcentric lol
what is that material called and where can i buy it?
Probably abs plastic 🤔🤔just search at ebay or Google
Yeah abs plastic. Got it at piedmont plastics in NC.
@@paulyzee bro what part of North Carolina? I live in nc too . Can you help me pls
I really like your weather strip for the lip. What brand/product did you use?
It isn't OEM thing, but it gives it that Manga art type of feel
Can't remember, but it was some trim used for fender flares. I ended up switching it out to an oem Honda rubber trim because it was much thinner.
Sick
No rods looks good like that
What size (feet x feet) did you order
4x8
That's kool bro
thats going to flex like crazy at high speed lol. support it at least with rods.
Rods won't really help. This will never be functional.
@@devjk1 can you elaborate ?

That space is going to cause a lo of issues, you've effectively negated the splitter. It doesn't look sturdy at all.
Going to ask you this question: where did you get your sheet of polypropylene at.
Got it from a place called Piedmont plastics.
Hey yo
I think you should take it off, and get rid of your friends at the same time because real friends wouldn't let friends do this to an s2000..
no splitter. keep it stock as possible. its a beauty.
I bet this splitter is destroyed already
Nice 👍
