I didn't get it in for 4 years. Just got it in 2 weeks ago. Honestly it hurt a little bit, and nobody tells you to use the smallest size first and work your way up in sizes. I started with a medium size tampon because I use a medium pad. It hurt to pull out the tampon because it hadn't soaked up enough blood. Ouch. Please take your time and it will be OK in the end.
