Tim, thank you for your comment. Most weathering is very subtle in appearance and that is what I try to show. Too often people just slap on rust and chalk and say it is weathered. I say take a look at your car when it is dirty, it is very subtle not covered in colours.
I really like this approach... Simple enough for realism and yet not a whole lot of Paint Mess. Which means MORE TIME TO RUN TRAINS which is what I like best about the hobby.😁 Question: This is 2 years ago... are you still in the hobby?

Yes if you want to fix the colours so they do not rub off.
