HI, and thank you, yes I will make a tutorial on this one but it s not in the short term plan. I m finishing a new tutorial at this moment. Stay tuned. Thank you.
Niko Fabricius I use a mid range gaming card. A GeForce 1070 gtx. But the true improvement is Rhino v6 visualisation tools. In this case I used the rendered mode .
Alexandre Galin Thank you for letting me know! I have been hard at work, comparing video cards and narrowed the alternatives down to a the gtx 1070 and the Quadro p2000. I had a preconception that the quadro would be undeniably superior because of driver suport etc. However, the results in this video looks amazing and I might go for the 1070 after all. But are you telling me differences between video cards is less noticeable in V6 or am i grossly misunderstanding?
Niko Fabricius I have a Quadro at work and for whatever reason , in my case anyway, I personally prefer working with a gaming card. I find it really hard to justify the huge price gap between my GeForce and the Quadro. I never was let down by gaming cards. But I personally buy only Nvidia cards, I have no clue about ATIs.
Alexandre Galin That is great to hear! Thank you! I do have another question; did the performance of your 1070 improve significantly when upgrading to Rhino V6? Or does the boosted performance of V6 only apply to computers with quadro cards? Also, do you know what quadro you have at work?
Niko Fabricius I think my Quadro is a 5400 . With v6 you can manipulate larger assemblies much larger than v5 so the upgrade as well as a decent graphics card makes the working experience more pleasant.
