My dear father passed away November 16, this song, which I have on my playlist, out of the thousands of songs, was the one that came up just as I was pulling in to the church parking lot for his funeral. I’m 55, dad was 88, he was my best friend, and I loved him more than any words could ever say. This video came up in my newsfeed, and I’m a complete wreck and can’t stop crying. Whoever says men don’t cry, never experienced real love, rest in peace dad. 😰😰😰😰🙏🙏🙏🙏

I do know how you feel, my father passed away 7 years ago and can't stop missing him every single day, wishing I would have been able to stay next to him longer, I saved this song on a list full of pieces of music reminding me my parents.

This is the most beautiful work of Ennio Morricone. Steffi has an amazing vocals. Patricia Janeckova sang similarly, but unfortunately she died in 2023 at the age of 23.
Love the little look to the pianist at the end and very small smile, knowing he poured his everything into the performance as she did. Absolutely beautiful.

I’ve listened to this rendition of Ennio Morricone Once”upon a time in the West” many times by Steffi and it sounds just as emotionally beautiful as the first time I listened to it, and the Pianist puts the whole experience on another level, Just Perfection
I think it is quite possible that this is the most beautiful melody/song that has ever been written . I remember hearing it as a child . I am now 63 years old and still feel the same .

Gary: I think you are fully aware of this piece and it's origin, but if not.... This is the piece written by Ennio Morricone for the Sergio Leone film " Once Upon a Time in The West" (1969). The entire score for the film is incredible These two masters had previously collaborative efforts in the Man With No Name Trilogy aka The Good, The Bad and The Ugly trio of films (1965-1968). If you want to hear an absolutely amazing rendition of this specific piece look at the soprano Patricia Janecková video from 2012 in the Czech Republic. I also recommend you look at the Danish Royal Philharmonic offering of the overall Ennio Morricone works. Just Google using the movie titles to find that group of videos. Lastly, the only time I have ever heard the words sung to the Miss Renata piece is the Celine Dion rendition. Beautiful. Every other vocal performance is the same as you saw with this incredibly beautiful soprano voice in this video, just a harmonization of the overall piece. Enjoy Good Sir.....
I stand corrected. The German contralto soprano Diane Eisenwaller (same range as the young woman in this video) also sings the words. To aid you in the future if you want to hear different sopranos...

I just turned 65 two months ago. I saw Once Upon A Time In The West around 1970+/-. The soundtrack blew me away, as did the whole movie. Still see/hear the sign creaking from the breeze in the opening scene. The sound of the boots walking on the boards. Geez, 13 years old. Wow, what a highlight of my youth. Of course I have a remastered DVD of the movie, and some fabulous special features with Sergio & Ennio. Highly Recommend to get a copy of that DVD. GiddyUp…

Steffi's voice is not only angelic, it has a truly spiritual quality, and is evocatively beautiful. Adi's piano playing is superb, very moving and emotional. The entire performance is filled with heartfelt compassion, and I find it very help as I face my terminal illness and the little time I have left. I am so grateful to Steffi and Adi for this amazing and uplifting performance made during my lifetime. I am ready for the next level of existence as my faith is strong and unshakeable.

As my years draw on I sometimes muse what my endgame will be. I have often thought about a mix of say 6 songs that have moved my spirit in my life and understand what you are saying. I hope your days are lifted by the music that fills your heart and spirit as you move on to the next layer of spirituality. I am not religious in any way but do believe that there is a chance that the physical realm is a beginning and not an end. The keys are humanity, compassion, empathy and kindness.going beyond self. I hope when my time comes I will have the fortitude and strength of spirit to play my life out with music that lifts my spirit.

Jill's theme: Majestically melancholy, I was entranced by it the first time I saw Once Upon A Time in the West.
The best version of this harmony of probably the best tune ever composed. Listened to this hundreds of times yet very time is like the first and chills sweep all over me. A faultless rendition which I defy anyone who listens to it would not feel the sensation in their heart.
I like this as well, I would prefer some version with less studio effects added, but still it's very good. My favorite vocal version is ua-cam.com/video/Vf6Z0FToAe8/v-deo.html , but it's a matter of taste.

Seven years already. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've watched this video. And I've seen at least 2 dozen other artists sing it --- both in this humming style AND with vocals. But this is my favorite rendition. Steffi LOOKS like an angel and her voice is so piercing. I just want to dive into my computer screen every time I watch her sing.
But if this song wasn't beautiful enough on it's own, I picture the movie it originated from every time I hear it ( "Once Upon a Time in the West" ). I have never seen a western movie like THIS before --- SO captivating. This song was PERFECT for the movie. Steffi, the song, the movie❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
