Whenever I listen to a Republican member of Congress try to embarrass Secretary Pete Buttigieg by challenging a DOT policy decision I automatically seek out how much campaign money that member received from industry groups...Crawford received over $100,000 from transportation & nearly $150,000 from the agribusiness sectors. Remember, when politicians refer to "their constituents", they're not talking about people they represent, it's the special interest groups that fund their political campaigns.

I thought the purpose was to question the Secretary of Transport, not for Crawford to give his own soliloquy about his actions. He barely gave the Secretary a chance to answer the first question.
BECAUSE, to a certain segment of the population (I call them ROTpublicans), their personal morality CHANGES when they are confronted by the same acts, done by people of two different political persuasions. ROTpublicans believe that ROTpublicans can do no wrong, no matter WHAT they do, and the act is immediately inserted into a folder detailing ALLOWED actions. Whereas, if a DEM does the VERY SAME THING, it will somehow not be allowed to stay in place without SEVERE criticisms being rendered.
