What gets me is there was no underlying damage to require bondo to start with 😵💫 I could understand if they were filling dents or patch panels, but the last guy just slathered bondo over 😕 everything but the bed. Anything over a credit card 💳 in thickness is gonna crack, and then it holds water 💧 causing surface rust, which spreads the crack, which holds more water, which causes more rust and around and around we go. The whole car is going to have to be sanded down at some point. I counted at least 4 layers of paint 🎨 in places, white, black, and 2 shades of red.

U dont need special tool for that rim lock lug find a set of black forged steel fittings or the cheap china silver crap find the closest one after you clean crud off of it u want the snuggest fit to clean it use anything oil tech 99¢ can cleaner WD 40 spray pam and beat it on with hammer then take off with air ratchet or socket sleeved over with extension pipe or post knowwattamean?😁
I wanna find out how deep the rot goes, is it just peeling paint or is there an inch of bondo under it. There's another 80 El Camino down the road a piece, and I'm starting to wonder if I need to see if I can buy that one also and maybe use this one for parts or sell it on. I know I am going to need at least a hood and partial floor pan for this one.
