Thank you for this! My whole goal seemed tiny to start, but I'm stuck. Can you help? I used the older motion effects filter to set up a basic live cam type of pan. But, because nothing I've tried (in adv scene switcher or the plugin settings) will initialize the pan/motion effect (that my preview window displays), I searched and found this plugin. SO - that backdrop is to frame where I am now. It's when I saw the video capture device (in this plugin) "Camera Control Pan" single setting option. I was amazed to actually see, "pan!" " :-) Well. my initial attempts aren't showing any pan action in my preview window. Might you have any feedback, ideas, or help doc which might get me going in the right direction on this pan option (if indeed you think it's what I need, as well?) My goal? Simple live cam pan effect, left to right, basic stuff. Thanks either way, exeldro!
Hello Exeldro, I'm having the hardest time trying to implement this tutorial using Multiple sources. Let me explain: I have 2 distinct Sources in OBS, will call them source "X" and the other one "Y" . I've been successful at making Source "X" do what your tutorial teaches. But what I would like to see is to have Source "X" play and hide and then play Source "Y" also play and hide and then have it loop back to Source "X". My current results are that I'm getting overlays with my X and Y sources. I've tried playing with the Start Delay on Source Y so so as let Source X start and complete its In/out move animation and giving it enough time for source Y to then start. Here are the current settings and times i'm using for each Move Effect, NOTE that all are using 1000 Custom Duration. I show a total of 4 Effect Filters label Move 1, Move 2, Move 3, Move 4: Move 1 Source X = Start Delay of "Zero"___End Delay 5000___Next Move 2. Move 2 Source X =Start Delay of "Zero"___End Delay Zero___Next Move 3. Move 3 Source Y =Start Delay of "5000"___End Delay Zero___Next Move 4. Move 4 Source Y =Start Delay of "Zero"___End Delay Zero___Next Move 1. If anyone out there can help me I would greatly appreciated. NOTE: I could just accomplish this via creating a quick png movie in FinalCutPro and just bring in the "Media" source in and call it quits, but knowing me I know I need to figure this out and its driving me crazy. Downloaded move transition, extracted it into my OBS folder as i have installed many other plugins, but i dont see "move" in the list transitions (i only see cut and fade)... is there something else required for this to work? any dependencies?
I made the 4 scenes you see in the video and in each scene there are some sources the same as other scenes and some sources only on that scene. The obs logo is on all scenes in a different position and the move transition does the work.
can you share out the setting? because mine show same result (i am only getting the transition cut to black for the duration, then it brings up the new scene no matter how i change the setting). by the way, im using mac
I know there are issues on Mac, try version 1.1.4 that is reported working on Mac. I hope someone can help me fix the Mac build, because I don't have a Mac.
@@exeldro 1.1.4 does in fact work, after the most recent build failed for me on Mac Catalina. It skips around a lot if you use studio mode, unfortunately, but it is far more reliable if you don't use studio mode. It works pretty smoothly just using regular OBS mode.
If you add the Move Transition to an Mic/Audio the hotkeys in OBS disappears if you shutdown OBS. Any updates on fixing that? Right now it only support on a source or scene but not one audio devices.
How do I get the + and - on the Scenes Transitions UI.? I have them on Scenes and Sources obviously but not on Scenes Transitions. I am using OBS 26.1.1 (64 bit) and trying to get your plugin (Move Transition 2.3.4) to work.

By setting the transition on (dis)appearing items to fade and set the position to none and set zoom off.

Use a looping mp4 or Gif for that, transitions have finite duration.

I am not sure I understand what you are trying to do. What filter are you adding to an audio source?
Will this work to resize a full screen webcam to a standard small box on my next scene?

Adding a transition has moved to the dropdown menu itself since an update of OBS there should be an option "Add: Move" in the dropdown.
