I remember when I was a kid, my classmates would be signing the songs from the movie in English and I didn't know the lyrics since I had only listened to them in Cantonese before. They all started swarming me asking how I could be Chinese and not even know the lyrics to the songs from Mulan. They kept teasing me about it, so I started studying the English lyrics at home so I wouldn't stand out so much, which actually helped them forget about teasing me for not being Chinese enough. Lol....
