Step 4 Reduce speed to low and add flour mixture in three parts, alternating with milk and beating just until incorporated. Step 5 Spread batter into prepared pan and bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 40 min. Let cool in pan 10 min., then use overhangs to remove from pan and let cool completely.
