OMG this video is a GODSEND!!!! Both of my wired USB X-Box 360 controllers flaked out on me so I had no idea how I was gonna get another controller outside of purchasing one. So happy my PC has bluetooth :D

Steam had a sale on it about a month or so prior to the release of Dragon's Dogma 2 so I picked it up for like 5 bucks and it was the deluxe edition with all the DLC. I had already started a playthrough and made it to the capital and was starting to finish up Act 1 when my XBox controller crapped out. I did NOT want to use mouse and KB to play that so I watched your tutorial and used my PS4 controller : )
Anyone who cant get it to show in windows. You need told hold share first then hold the PS button at the same time. The light will then start flashing blue, two times fast then pausing repeatedly. You can then find it in windows.

Hey Ed! Once it’s paired you should just have to turn the controller on and it’ll connect to windows since it’s paired and it’ll look for that device when it turns on…
I have this issue, I have done the connection perfectly and play some games, but everytime I want to play again, I have to unpair and pair again, because for some reason doesn't recognize when I press the PS button 😢

Hi @motionoftheocean ! If you buy the game on Steam I think you should be fine with just the controller because Steam provides PS4 controller support assuming it acts like one. Alternatively an Xbox controller would be a safe bet too.

It doesn't detect it is a PS4 controller. I tried installing Input Mapper but it only detects that it is a xbox controller. How do I make steam know it is a ps4 controller because in games it shows me xbox button layout?
Does your computer have Bluetooth? You can connect with a USB cable or you will need to add a Bluetooth dongle of some sort if you do not have Bluetooth. There are some options in the video description for Bluetooth dongles.

Hey Seb! Yep it’s pretty simple I had to do it again recently on another PC. Plugged in the USB adapter maybe checked that I had the latest drivers for the Bluetooth adapter from the website, but it works right away. You pair up controller or device or whatever. If you don’t have Bluetooth on your computer already.

Hey @sebm8845 Have you tried resetting the controller? Locate the small reset button on the back of the control, next to the L2 domed button. Use a small tool to push the button into the tiny hole. Press and hold the button for 3 to 5 seconds.

Hi @Kyami_Fc . Not directly no, depending on the use case you could use the laptop to “remote play” over the network to the PS4. You’re meant to use a controller so I’m not sure what functionality you’ll get from the keyboard via remote play.

Hey TeachMeThings! Bluetooth sounds faulty alright. Start by trying to update the driver. There should be a video somewhere about that. Then try open Bluetooth settings to see if other Bluetooth devices appear in an list. Then you’ll know at least the Bluetooth is working.

Hey @@Th33-Hype ! Sounds like you have Bluetooth built into your PC? This can sometimes cause it to have a weak signal. All you can you is buy a Bluetooth USB adapter and plug it in the front / top of your PC or use an extension cable to Place the adapter in a good location.

Hey Brook ! I’d start by updating the Bluetooth drivers on your pc, resetting the controller with the pin on the back and updating the firmware on the controller.
My i can use usb cable and it worked but i can't use Bluetooth it connected but not working in the game

Hi @lakai475. The Bluetooth Services might be disabled, you can check and enable them by pressing "windows + r" and you will se a small popup window there type "services.msc" when you open services look for bluetooth support service and see if it is disabled and enable it or set it to automatic.

Hi @Kyami_Fc . Not directly no, depending on the use case you could use the laptop to “remote play” over the network to the PS4. You’re meant to use a controller so I’m not sure what functionality you’ll get from the keyboard via remote play.

Hey @@Lexi-m9f ! Try plugging in with a cable first so the drivers install. You should be able to use the PS4 controller for Rocket League no problem.

Hey TeachMeThings! Bluetooth sounds faulty alright. Start by trying to update the driver. There should be a video somewhere about that. Then try open Bluetooth settings to see if other Bluetooth devices appear in an list. Then you’ll know at least the Bluetooth is working.
