It's always been fun watching how excited and appreciative you are when visiting new places but it's even more fun seeing you sharing that excitement with Rhonda! Thanks again for including us that are staying at home.
I've really enjoyed these last few episodes. life can be a beautiful thing however it's so much better when you have someone to share it with. companionship, i think is the salt of life. enjoy...
After watching that sad video where you said your ex just up and left, it warms my heart to see you this happy🥹🥹🥹Enjoy James, you're both great for each other🌸🌸
Thanks! Been looking forward to your video all week. A simply gorgeous place ! Agan many places inland had those prehistoric looking plants. ~You can take the boy out of California, but you cant take the California out of the boy, " thats the jam " "we're stoked" :)
Greetings from the past! We were on the mooring around the corner at Ferndale whilst you were here in Long Bay. We met and hung out with Roni and Rob Neeley and their two kids for a couple of days and they said they had met you. Small world! It's so good to see our favourite piece of the Kenepuru Sounds from someone else's perspective. Safe travels and may the winds always be in your favour!
Glad to see you doing so well I have watched you for a few years but usually found your profile while I wasn’t logged in. Now I am subscribed hoping to buy a boat at some point and start sailing.
Hi James, and Rhonda it’s wonderful to see two people with the spirit adventure like you both I just find it totally amazing that you never met together before this, but just have the same spirit. Hopefully Rhonda will be able to come back on board again soon. Keep up the good work guys. Always love the videos from Australia
James, I’ve always loved following you adventures but, now, with the addition of your lovely Rhonda, I ❤️❤️ watching! Y’all are just too cute! Enjoy the gift you’ve fond in each other. Blessings! Anita, Captain SV Andiamo ‘72 Cape Dory Typhoon. #345
New Zealand is so beautiful.. I'm a kiwi cruising sailor making m😢 way home after a few years away... looking forward to being in the sounds again.. great videos.. getting me somewhat homesick.. cheers
I mentioned how I love our use of language. Another thing James says when the seas are particularly rough is to convey in one way or another the seas ' are being silly ' -- Dry, dismissive, sarcastic humor at it's Best and I absolutely love it --
James, Aotearoa is a stunning example of Earth's primal beauty. Without any civilized points of reference (houses, bridges, roads), it appears like an ancient, untouched utopia that you two just discovered. Such an incredible place. TY for bringing us w/ you.
In my experience, I have found that the sounds have a mud/shell bottom, so extremely good holding in Most conditions. Some of those mud inlets are good pipi beds. Old cruising areas you've taken us over too. Thank you mate for the memories.
Your videos are amazing. Would love to hear more about the science of sailing as you move along…. Why you set the sails in certain ways depending on the wind / heading etc.
Its one spectacular landscape after another ... Looks so peaceful but that lands alive .. with shakes and volcanic heat in places. The black sands you might see are volcanic like Hawaii and Iceland.
Really excited to see your progress around the world! It’s been a dream of mine for many years though im just now putting in the forth to learn as much as possible.
Depends on how good of a sailor the captain is. The Pardeys did some serious ocean miles in a 24ft boat. It more comes down to how much discomfort is someone willing to deal with.
My dream for years was a '68 Pearson Trition that I would spend the last of my days on. But as health and medical issues related to age took over, the dream has faded away. I grew up on boats in the 70s area of Cortez, FL. Best times of my life for real...
Oh you mean when I didn’t have a tiller and the other boat was obligated to let me raft up because of club rules? 🙄 I would always prefer to not raft up, solo or not. Not to mention that anchorage was 90 ft deep.
It ain't love until you get shipwrecked together. Then it might be a case of who eats who. Sorry I'm just an old pirate had to say it. Just stock up on barbecue sauce. That will usually survive a shipwreck.
You can see the happiness bubbling outta you two. It warms my heart to know you now have someone to see the world with.
There is nothing like the sensation that comes over you when the motor becomes silent and only the wind and sails are propelling life...
🤘
Amen!
You’re becoming my next “Free Range Sailing. I look forward to following your travels.
They were my absolute favorite channel when they were sailing

What a beautiful spot and a lovely lady to share it with, safe travels
she is a blonde kiwi version of his x which broke his heart ❤️. He is very deserving of love ❤️ again as he has been a recluse
@andreflavell3453 He must get away before her tentacles dig in
James, so glad you have a soul mate to share your journey with!

Better times… James… 👍👍👍

Thanks 🙏🏻
It is such a wonderful place to be James and Rhonda! Thanks for another great episode mate! That sunset was epic 👌
Fabulous sailing. Reminds menof sailing up the rivers here in the uk. Short tacks of 10 meters. ❤
Yea, two is better than one for a bit. :)
Thanks for taking us along /
Well, this seems to be working out! Loving the footage of remote NZ as well.
Awesome content as usual. Great to see the interaction between you both as you explore this beautiful world together.

😂 glad you enjoy my sense of humor
hello from moscow :)
Beautiful. Thanks. xxx
David's never been totally alone cos he has had us. I don't think he could of done those long journeys without us.
My name isn’t David 🤔 and while I appreciate my community, I was very much alone for the better part of 2.5 years
James, Aotearoa is a stunning example of Earth's primal beauty. Without any civilized points of reference (houses, bridges, roads), it appears like an ancient, untouched utopia that you two just discovered. Such an incredible place. TY for bringing us w/ you.
It really is and it offers so many places where one can visit that could be at any time in history
It is a privilege and I thank him as well..
A Truly *Wonderful* video folks!
ENJOY.🙏🦉
🌅⛵
Did you get a chance to see the megaliths in New Zealand.Ka...somthing, wall. It seems like the same type of structure that is in Machu Picchu.
It’s a natural rock formation
Glad you're doing well ! Lovely crew mate. All the best Captain James thanks for the adventure!⛵
Happy for you man!

The Sounds were the highlight of my year in New Zealand
Living the dream!!
Very, very happy for you both.
This... is awesome!!
Your videos are amazing. Would love to hear more about the science of sailing as you move along…. Why you set the sails in certain ways depending on the wind / heading etc.
There are lots of sailing lesson videos out there 👍🏻
Was just catching up on the old ones this morning waiting for this 😂💫❤️
Thanks James ! Ive been away awhile , but certainly will catch up .
Thanx J., nice stuff. Good vibes your way!
Cool Sailing Brother!
Absolutely beautiful. I miss New Zealand. I took a ferry ride through Milford Sound and that was just gorgeous
New Zealand is really unmatched in the beautify department
Good job smelling the roses!
You two are sweet together. James you have a sweetness I just love.❤️
I like your channel better as a pair!
Hoofing it. ! :)
Great episode you guys 😊 those birds sounded amazing.
Its one spectacular landscape after another ... Looks so peaceful but that lands alive .. with shakes and volcanic heat in places. The black sands you might see are volcanic like Hawaii and Iceland.
The sounds were packed with stunning beauty
It's so cool that shes sailing with you. I loved to see this.
👍🙂
Really excited to see your progress around the world! It’s been a dream of mine for many years though im just now putting in the forth to learn as much as possible.
Thanks for following along
Another great video. What the smallest size yacht in your opinion could be used for curising NZ ? And the same question for Ocean Crossing ?
Depends on how good of a sailor the captain is. The Pardeys did some serious ocean miles in a 24ft boat. It more comes down to how much discomfort is someone willing to deal with.
Love it 👍 it is so beautiful. Love from Danmark ❤
I lost my chance at a boat earlier this year. Went to New Bern to look at a Cal36 but didn’t work out for me… Maybe next year 😊
Cals are great boats

I was shopping for a Triton when I found my Alberg 30
2:07 - I concur
Looks like Newfoundland, Canada.
I like your new friend...she's cool.
Nice WoodenBoat hoodie
👍
What is the water temperature? Thank you for bringing your adventure to us.
Probably 55°f
@@SailorJames Brrrrr that's chilly
This would be a cool spot to live for a while if not longer, what do you think? SkipRay, Kerry, Ireland.
I have no interest in ever “settling down”👍🏻
James....keep N real one lunch date at a time..lol
See the way she was looking at you in your last video 😊 come on, you should ask her to join you on your adventure. She is perfect for you 🎉
Spoiler alert, that was decided long before the public saw any videos
Is that a Perkins on your dinghy?
It’s a Tohatsu outboard
⛵ ❤
James, is Rhonda going to continue with you? I think we all want that to happen.
She joined me fulltime after my solo Tasman crossing to Australia
Hey if you step on a log,
Don't squash the Gold top...
You Crazy Puppies.
There are plenty of spots in those Sounds where humans have never set foot.
strange... you seemed quite happy to raft up a few weeks ago...when you were solo....
Oh you mean when I didn’t have a tiller and the other boat was obligated to let me raft up because of club rules? 🙄 I would always prefer to not raft up, solo or not. Not to mention that anchorage was 90 ft deep.
@@SailorJames I assumed you were just being very considerate, not wanting Rhonda's sleep disturbed by potential noises from the other boat.
I would always choose to not raft up if given the option, unless it was with good friends
Is it me... or does James have a little 'spring in his step' now he has a lady on board?? 😅😅😊
Looks very nice there your friend is also nice lady enjoy life
All you need is love.
"You gonna take your pants off..." HA!
Going slow sometimes is better than wasting fuel ...be safe you two .. Cheers . Careful you could end up on land in a house with a dog ..😂
End up in a house? Never gonna happen. Funny you assume that’s the only option for a relationship
Just pulling your leg ..never assumed anything I so enjoy watching your adventures
U guys make a very nice couple. Soulmates maybe or soulmates? From sailor of 40 years, with a as soulmate of 42 years.
It ain't love until you get shipwrecked together. Then it might be a case of who eats who. Sorry I'm just an old pirate had to say it. Just stock up on barbecue sauce. That will usually survive a shipwreck.
🙄
❤yall together now?❤😊
Oh wow that's so cool best wishes to you too
Sailing & walking past all the seafood, boring
It’s a uhhhhh sailing channel.
Exactly
Greetings from land-locked Kansas City...awesome videos man! You two heading north to the Coral Sea next?
