This is easier than the Icepick
ikr
the ice pick is so hard
Not for me
I have gotten the ice pick down but dropped my knife a few times cause my hand is tired
The ice pick is litelary two openings combine. I got it down to "perfection" in one night
Thats It. I'm getting one!
nice dude!!! a Benchmade 51? you won't be disappointed!
Big Flips im getting a trainer but im getting a real knife probably for my birthday
Melvin Vega I'm not taking the risk got a trainer. Trainer only
@@mcrox4317 your right but im dumb and like cuting my self 😂
@@mcrox4317 i have a normal one and im a beginner, if you are carefull all you will get are small cuts :))
Thank you so much for the details! Other channels just don't give you close up detailed instructions. Because of you going through every part slowly, I learned in a few minutes
Excellent! thanks for watching!
Yes. Same thing for me. Not muscle memory yet (still have to think for a split second befor every move) but pretty good. Also, since you wrote this 5y ago, I'm wondering if you still do balisong flipping? If you don't mind sharing.
Dude I went from scared to throw it to mastering all the tricks you have shown me so far in only a day. You are the best teacher I have ever had
bruh i dropped my trainer on my phone and smashed it 😂
If you got a real one you woudl stab it instead

it cracked
First crack to ever show on mine happened that way with a live blade.
thats why i always turn my phone around before flipping

This is he point where I tried and it went flying across the room.😂

For me it hit my monitor
The twirl made me drop my trainer (all metal) on my bare foot. It *H U R T S*
a handy note is you can pair this with the zen roll over straight after if you use the second variation (the blade is out at the start)
If you have balls you can do it backwards with y2k instead of the zen roll over
I struggled for so long on ice pick but this felt pretty easy, thank you!
This is the first trick I ever learned and it’s still one of my favorites
I'm sure it has been brought up already but I really appreciate your initial presentation of the move: "the back" *first position* "hand" *2nd position* "twirl" *3rd and final position*
I'm sorry I don't know how to convey this in text properly but it was so smooth and it's definitelly helping me to learn it...
I got into balisong flipping recently (3 months ish by now) with a cheap amazon one that I quickly upgraded to a Squid Mako V4.5 that I absolutely love. And I keep coming back to your tutorials... (Not shitting on Squids' tutorials, they're actually pretty good) But you're definitelly doing something right with the way you teach.
I just discovered your channel and I absolutely love it! The instructions are super clear and easy to follow. Thank you for making content like this.
i'm brazilian and i knew your channel a little while ago but you already taught me so much
I appreciate this tutorial playlist you are the best balisong teacher in the world
6 years later and it still hold up as the best tutorial i could find, thank you! I managed to get it smooth in just 10 minutes thanks to you!
This is my favorite basic opener so far
Can we take a moment to appreciate these thumbnails

Big Flips does the cost of buying the knife involve shipping fee?
I suggest buying a trainer one to start learning tricks
This move seems like a really sick hand off maneuver and I’m all for it
Dude I see the combos forming in my head this is so sick
4 years later still the best channel for learning 👍
By far the best butterfly knife teacher out there. Thanks.
Idk y but these tutorials are the best with the slow mo and doing the recaps so easy to learn.
Thank you so much for making these videos. It really helps, since I just got my balisong knife and I am always learning new tricks thanks to you!
Everytime i watch your videos I ACTUALLY get better. Idk the other youtubers should take notes. They either go to fast or shy away from the trick tutorial it self
Very great video. I love balisongs and have a bunch of knives and in the past few years have gotten better at flipping but this video has helped me, and I am not good, but I'm also not giving up.
Such a good teacher, I picked it up instantly!
I really hope you continue making tutorials because you are awesome at teaching!
i remember watching you a lot before and heres youtube recommending you again
very specific instructions, very nice. all it took for me was rewind a few times per variation and i learned it really quickly. subbed
Omg the step by step is so helpful I've been video hopping to find the best channel for teaching me how to flip and this one and we are artsea are the two best thank you, love what you do keep going
the fact that you are doing it with a real knife and not a fake blade is the biggest flex ever
Easiest tutorial I've seen so far!!
This was extremely helpful and the first video that actually took me step by step now I'll be hooked on this channel for a while
Great! my tricks are in order from easiest to hardest so if you start from the beginning you should be able to work your way to advanced!
bro when i did it i was so shocked im so happy now i give big thanks to you now im beginning to love butterfly knife tricks so much more❤
I started doing ballisong tricks today and I am already loving your tutorials and your tricks! thx.
Thank you so much for helping me in learning the tricks. You are the best tutor for balisongs.
Love from India🇮🇳
this was the first video that helped me learn a trick with a butter fly knife
The hand movement at the right time is the hardest part for sure.
one of the best beginner tricks
Thanks man I strated not long ago and now I have line of tutorials one by one. Appreciate it. ❤❤❤
You are my unofficial Butterfly knife teacher
Would try this, but i already lost all my fingers to previous vids.
These videos are underrated
For those having trouble twirling it try putting your index finger further down than he has it. This helped for me
new favorite trick. so glad I bought one of these.
I guess big flips is my teacher now
Everytime I learn a new trick on this channel it looks sooo hard thx man I feel like a pro even tho I've had my knife for 2 days
Really nice video. I thought I'd have to practice for at least a few days before actually being able to do any tricks but I learned this in a matter of minutes
Figured this out on accident a week ago and knew I couldn't be the first. Glad to know it's name finally
that looks like so much fun and that's the main reason why i started
Mastered this trick on my lunch with a live blade Kershaw Lucha, Stock. You are my sensei
Its pretty fun to follow this up with a closing revolver😁
The grip on the balisong at the end of the trick is so hard with the BBbarfly cause of the huge gap in between the handles😂
Im nailing all of these first try. Not perfect of course, but nailed. I think I'm a natural.
I pair this move with the zen rollover because the way you catch it is perfect for it
THE_BEST_THUMBNAIL_IN_UA-cam_HISTORY
Thank youuuuu!! I did it SMOOTHLY only after 5 minutes of practice + your guidance.
This is still one of my favorite moves to this day!
your videos have helped me progress so much. i appreciate you!
tricks like these hurt my fingers so much, my knife is pretty heavy like HEAVY
It's a trainer so the blade is like 2-3x thicker than a usual blade and the handles don't help XD although it has no sharp end, i still manage to draw blood from blunt impact rip
OMG THANKS SO MUCH I LEARNED THAT SO QUICK
I did a variation of this (not sure if I came up with it or if it already has a name). Start the trick as normal, instead of catching and spinning the knife like at 2:00, you let it go further around your finger, catch the safe handle between your thumb and index finger, then swing the bite handle up and catch in a pen grip.
Bro thanks
im learning so many good tricks from you bud, good job!
How this is the first actually cool trick that is super easy to learn
I came up with this in my room one day, now, a year later I find it's a real thing on yt. wow.
Love the way u teach simple and easy appreciate it
HEY....I GIT A BECHMADE 42.....IDK BUT IT FLIPS ITSELF IN MY HAND....IT JUST SO SMOOTH ASF......LOVE IT...AND I LOVE YOUR VIDS.....ILL BE HERE TILL THE END....WHICH I HOPE IT NEVER COMES
Came to see Obama doing butterfly knife tricks. I feel bamboozled.
I'm the biggest bamboozler in the game rn
best tutorials ever bro. keep it up
Realy cool one! Easy to do and looks nice
Thank you so much mannn!! I will definitely learn all the tricks!
this is amazing
just a few videos watched and i already got some moves down easily
This trick would be perfect for the butterfly pen, since it ends in a writing position. I'll definitely see how effective it is if I ever get one :)
Dose this hurt your fingers by any chance? Like when the knife touches your finger? Sorry for asking such a dumb question,I’m a beginner with stuff like this.
You know he knows what hes talking about when he has those scars. He knows how to not fuck up ever again.
Who else thought when they finally did this it felt so cool
You can do this and to close it you could also do a closing latch flip
I loved it, it's my new favorite trick
All these bandaids are worth it; got this one down practicing it today. :D
Now if only I could get the y2k down...
After I watched this and got good at it. I thought maybe I could combo it with the Y2K. And thus I did my first combo. Thanks dude. Love ya vids
This is a great video, thanks alot. I was having trouble at first but your steps really helped.
Thank you so much man, at first I'm like there is no way I'm going to be able to do this and then I just fallow through with the video and get it in 5 minutes thanks a lot man defiantly subscribing :)
Tip: It’s easier if you try and catch it upside down instead of the pencil grip 🔪
my favorite one to learn so far
Bro I nailed it on my 2nd try YOU ARE THR GOD
I actually learned the csgo flip from blade up to blade down first and now going through all these videos I’m just flying through look at the slowmo and ace it first try maybe everyone should do that
Thx a lot, I already mastered it in 15 mins:-)
When I first learned this trick thought it was called through the windmill
My fav move so far
Don't know if this trick exists, but I found a way to go from having the blade pointed up to down using this exact trick. In the open position, you do the first 3 moves, but when you swing up the bite handle you flip the knife around and catch the bite handle in downward open position.
It’s very easy and looks awesome thanks
you can also put a zen rollover too
you are a great teacher
Try going into a zen rollover from the fourth variation
this was actually my first trick, I used this as an open before I even knew how to do an basic open :)
Also i found this way easier then the ice pick lol
Been practicing this for a day and I got it down pretty easy trick
