- West Chester is roughly 20 miles west of Philadelphia, roughly 15 miles north of Wilmington, DE, and is the county seat of Chester County. It was incorporated in 1799, but settled before the Revolutionary War. It is the home of West Chester University, and for any classical music fans, this was the hometown of famous American composer Samuel Barber. See if you can find the shout-outs to Barber's music in the soundtrack. This tour will take you all around town including Barber's old house. On a personal note, two of the best pizzerias I've ever been to are in here.
I LOVE IT HERE SO MUCH TO DO AND LEARN AND THE COMMUNITY IS GREAT
What a lovely, historic town you have!

THORNTON PA , please someone take some film , I now live in Florida and would love to see Thornton again !!
There's also a similar named town in Illinois. It's about 14 miles west of Chicago. It's spelled Westchester, Illinois, one name instead of West Chester the only difference. It's also a very nice suburb.
