The beginning of the piece was pleasant, the middle section made me shiver, unfortunately I missed the Grand Finale.
This was also a great test to find out what frequencies were responsible for a rattle in my sub woofer... it was between 40-87 hz, then cut out. Took the cabinet apart and found a component that was vibrating up against the inside of the cabinet. All fixed. Sounds great again.
Well that may be my problem with the speaker. Thanks for the info about your observation about the association and causation. Now ii just need to figure out how to take it apart and do it myself. Now I remember my dad used to have a test record that played the frequency spectrum back when vinyl was in.
It doesn't sound like you needed the test to track and solve the problem.

Thanks, really helpful for finding out what the resonant frequencies are in my listening room. One is at 160Hz, which is darn impossible to disperse or absorb using panels. But I was able to attenuate it a bit.
Too bad the UA-cam audio compression algorithm cuts away everything above 15 kHz. If you can hear something above that range, it's probably caused by the decoding algorithm not knowing what to do and just making up frequencies.
Not sure if that's true or not as many can't hear beyond ~15khz.
@@roofpizza1250 someone needs to download the track and just have a look. I would but I'm on my phone, in bed, doing a deep dive into mobile phone frequency response. I'll check when I'm home anyway and comment the results.
@@Kijasmata well?
@@BirchZero I didn't check in the end 🤣
I recorded it into Audacity and it seems to cut off after 20kHz.
Now my speaker ready for takeoff lol 😂😂
*Test your speakers and your ears!* We're born with an approximate 20Hz-20kHz hearing range. However, most will probably find that they cease to hear the signal at around 15kHz or less. Protect your hearing! Don't punish your ears with very loud signals and be careful of ear infections through scratching your inner ear with your finger or other objects or ear, nose and throat blockages through things like smoking.
The older you get the less you hear high pitch sounds. It's not a disease, it's just aging.
44 here and after 11400 hertz all was silent V_V
I only started to hear it at 28Hz. What does that mean?
@@thewalrus355 It depends on what speakers/headset your listening through; some can't deliver frequencies that low. Of course, your ears may also not hear those frequencies, but loss from the top end is more common, I believe.
@@Valelacerte just playing it out of my iPhone 8+ speakers. I suppose it depends on the volume? I couldn’t hear past 16,000. Is that okay lol

24 or 25hz for my sub to kick in, then about 35hz for my tower speakers to chime in, to 15K when my ears tapped out. Useful test. Even with YT compression, 20Khz should still be present in the sound file, though I saw several people comment that it actually tops out at 15Khz.
It definitly stops at 15khz

I could hear until around 17000 hertz idk if that’s normal
i mean... youre not wrong...
This site has been so useful to me. I had a sudden onset ear condition and used this to determine that in that ear I couldn't hear anything under 700 hz. Now after only two days of treatment I can hear down to 160 hz Thanks so much. I had already used it to help decide which of two sets of headphones to keep.
How low (and high) you can hear the sound in this vid (and other vids) depends on a lot more than your ears, it depends on your sound system and speakers in particular.
It also depends on your computer's sound card if any, and also probably on UA-cam itself, which I believe cuts off at 15 kHz.

lol, new respect for my old DCM time windows (dual 6" woofers in a big transmission line setup). That bass was full range and flat. what was cool during the sweep, there were times when the frequency hit resonance and cancellation of the room, and the volume briefly went up or down. I was also happy that I can still hear up to about 14khz or so, the sweep was moving pretty fast by then. EDIT: ahhh, after reading the other comments, I see why it went dead around there: 16khz bandwidth limit on youtube...maybe I can still hear more than 16khz
