    About Pauly Shore:
Pauly Shore tasted super-stardom in 1990 when his MTV show “Totally Pauly” hit the airwaves to major fan approval. The show ran for six years, leading Pauly to a one-hour HBO comedy special, “Pauly Does Dallas” and starring roles in films like “Jury Duty,” “In the Army Now,” “Bio-Dome,” “Encino Man,” “Son In Law,” and “A Goofy Movie.”
Pauly went on to produce and star in several of his own projects, including “Pauly Shore is Dead” (amzn.to/2JOF1iv), as well as the comedy specials “Vegas is My Oyster,” starring Andy Dick, Tom Green, Bobby Lee, and “Pauly-Tics” (amzn.to/2sOIwvR), starring Herman Cain and Larry King.
In 2014, he released “Pauly Shore Stands Alone” (amzn.to/2t4z8Ub), a true-life road documentary that follows Pauly as he performs in obscure towns throughout Wisconsin while dealing with his personal life. It appeared on Showtime and is available on Amazon Prime. Other recent projects include Adam Sandler's "Sandy Wexler," the short film "Sin City Psycho," and the movie "Guest House" (on Netflix).
Pauly released a series of video interviews in 2017 called the “Pauly Shore Podcast Show.” His guests included Judd Apatow, Iliza Shlesinger, Ziggy Marley, Brett Ratner, Daymond John, Harland Williams, Fred Durst, David Faustino, Doug Herzog, Dexter Holland, Bob Saget and more (bit.ly/podshowP....
Currently, Pauly has a video podcast called “Pauly Shore’s Random Rants” which you can find on Soundcloud, iTunes, Stitcher and UA-cam (bit.ly/rantsPau....
Apart from actively touring the country with his stand-up comedy (bit.ly/PaulyTour), Pauly is working on a documentary of his life that spans the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.

I love Pauly Shore in ''The Court Jester'' and after seeing the short film, I can't imagine anyone else in this role as Richard Simmons. I thought his voice, mannerisms, and body language all were completely on point in this role as Pauly was sincere in his character delivery, with his body language, voice, and character mannerisms. An added note, I majored in theater and studied Shakespeare my first two years at the University of Montana's in their intense theater program for my BFA with an Acting Emphasis. I did not detect one slight moment of insincerity in his choices. I can also tell he had fun with this role, which really is infectious to the audience watching and therefore enabling the audience to carry on that energy which makes the experience even more enjoyable. This short film brought tears to my eyes, really. Very well done. I haven't gone to an actual movie in theaters in years, but, if Pauly were to actually star in a full length film as Richard Simmons, if done as well as this short film, this would be one I'd go see. The only critique I have is he'd need a better wig or hair stylist for the full length film, to really take on Richard's perm/afro.

I love Pauly but the goofy shtick should mostly be set aside if he wants to earn an Oscar for a film like this - as much as Richard was extreme and goofy, there’s a very deep and emotional side to him that the short film depicts and a full 90-110 minute movie would do best focusing heavily on that part of his persona
You got this Pauly - we all stand behind you 🔥

Thank you! You encapsulated the exact reasons why I did not like the short. Pauly is far too deadpan, far too serious to pull off Richard, even in his waning years. In the short, when they did the segment on "Ellen", Pauly looked like he found out his dog just died, but was contractually obligated to do the segment. Pauly is _blatantly_ making this movie about getting his Oscar because his "Encino Man" co-stars each got one. Pauly, they didn't get their Oscars _because_ they were in "Encino Man", but because they evolved their acting skills _beyond_ what they did in "Encino Man." I'm Team Richard on this one...there may be a facial resemblance, but that's where the similarity ends.

That would be hilarious. They each do movies about each other. Dueling bio pics.

Watch the short film, it's very good and it starts out silly but then it hits hard in the feels and Pauly did a great job. Try watching it since you're talking about it.

I like Pauly and Richard. I used to love Pauly Shore movies back in the day. But all I see is Pauly dressed in a Richard Simmons Halloween costume, sounding and moving like Pauly.

Richard plays Pauly in a Pauly Shore biopic as a double feature to Pauly playing Richard in a Richard Simmons biopic. Make it happen! I'd make a billion dollars and cost very little.

I always thought Pauly would play a great Richard Simons for many years.Seriously!! They look and act similar in certain ways. I’d love to see a serious biopic of Richards life. He has been in a lot of our lives on tv and much more since childhood. Everyone in there 40s to 90s knows RS and his flamboyant personality plus helping millions with weight issues. I hope he embraces the idea and reach out to him if possible. Someone will eventually do a story of his interesting life, better if he’s involved in the process. Good luck Pauly.. love the silk tiny RS shorts.. classic!❤️

Howard conveniently left out that time he made Richard cry and run out of the studio.
