英語版は実験的な要素もあると思うので個人的な意見です。私は海外アーティストを好きになるときはその国の文化や言語の雰囲気も含めて好きになるので、海外展開＝英語でなくていいと思っています。サイフィが海外公演でその国の言語であいさつをするのは敬意や愛なのと同じで聞く人もアーティストの言語に愛を持っていると思うので、日本語で歌うことも大切にしていってほしいです。

I do agree that a group can expand overseas without releasing songs in English. As an international fan, I can speak for other Intl fans as well when I say that we love and appreciate the Japanese language so don’t worry, Psyfe will continue to sing in JP. Also, they are not gonna release songs in English all the time like XG. This ver. is to show their appreciation for us Intl fans. They are marketed as a global group and was introduced as one on a JP show. They will do things that catered to their overseas audience. This is perfectly normal.

Thanks for the effort. But what's up with the mixing? Very poor quality, it sounds kind of like AI. For example, Weesa's part in the original was already in English, but why does he sound like a robot in this version if his lyrics never changed?
I also agree with the others that the eng version they performed in Vietnam is better and far superior.

is the company running out of budget or some….? i love psyfe but the quality of the mixing, the mismatching lip-syncing…..even the thumbnail is not it. honestly, i would rather not have it than have both the audio and mv look half-done in every single aspects like this. i know the boys have been working so hard on this, and exactly because of that they should deserve a proper jld in eng version, both with the audio and the mv that is more than this so that the world can know them better. jld has become a hit not because of the song only, it is the fine details put into the mv, from the settings to the mixing and the outfits. psyfe becoming viral is not out of pure luck, and you CANNOT expect people keep supporting them with sub-par quality productions like this……honestly i just feel this is such a pity….for all of the efforts they have made so far…….
@@アホ-w7w well i guess this kind of comment would come, but to answer to your response: (1) i’m criticizing the quality of the production, i.e: the video and the audio, and in my opinion anything that is put on display to the public should expect to receive both positive and negative comments. (2) speaking of being negative, i don’t think the fact that i’m strictly talking about the quality of their works has to do with “criticizing their lives” as you said - that is overgeneralization. we cannot love them by buttressing over everything that is bad going on with their works. and mind you once again, all the things i’m talking about in my original comment are not even psyfe’s faults. i love them so much and still follow them so far precisely because i know how dedicated and great of a group they have been striving to be; but that leads to; (3) the emphasis of my comment is that the company can do BETTER to show not only the fan but the world the dedication and commitment psyfe has put into their works. isn’t it frustrating when you know that this is not even half as great as what have made so many people fell in love with psyfe and their music in the first place? (4) you can say that i’m being too blunt all together but i think someone has to say it out at some points, because if we keep tolerating this kind of treatment to the quality of psyfe’s works, then i don’t see how the boys can grow further than where they currently are. this is not a critique directing at psyfe, i would say this is just straight out bad promotion strategies and poor visions from the management and production teams. among anyone i sincerely wish for their success in this industry, but if we keep patting on our backs and saying that this is the best the company has to provide to psyfe and that’s all, then the management will only keep pushing pysfe for the tours and the events and not producing good and quality MUSIC, which at least to me is the thing that brings me here to the fandom in the first place. hope this helps clarifying my points.

Oh I see. I had assumed that you were the occasional anti-LDH person who claims that LDH is a copy company of Korean groups. It is true that LDH is not very good at supporting artists in some areas. It's not a national company like Korea (which I like a lot) and I think they are not very good at promoting themselves as they are a company that probably has little to no overseas expansion. @@アホ-w7w honestly i have been feeling very helpless for quite a while seeing how many bad moves from the company have dimmed the lights on psyfe bits by bits. so this is just my cry of desperation seeing the company can do so much better in many aspects to help psyfe. i’m not hating on the company really since i acknowledge they have their own restraints and considerations to make in the course of their strategies…..so yeah, i’m glad we resolve our misunderstandings but i’m also quite unsure if the situation will ever get better and if psyfe will ever get the resources and opportunities they deserve to continue to shine…so yeh :(
Someone on Twitter explained why the quality of PsyFe's contents are usually subpar. Turns out PsyFe is solely managed by LDH's in-house record label hence the low quality and bad promotion. Normally, LDH co-produces their groups with larger Japanese labels like Avex, Sony or Universal bc LDH is not a major record label, but functions more like a talent agency. That's why other Exile groups normally have a Rhythm Zone logo in their MVs and PsyFe does not. Unless a larger label would pick PsyFe up, they will still get the nugu treatment bc LDH doesn't really have a good game plan for them.
LDH is a broke a$$ company and they are clueless af on how proper promotion works. Just imagine the bad decisions. Instead of riding the hype that JLD brought, the geniuses thought that implementing absolute restrictions with the group's content will help them expand their audience. Ffs.

It's the autotune. They overdid it to mask the accent of the members, but doing so distorted their voices.

as much as i love psyfe i don't get why they change the pronunciation on some of the already english lyrics from the original song. I get that it's a whole different take to accommodate for the english part but why is the mixing so different from the original? it feels like a whole different person mixed their voices . One more thing about the lyrics, whoever translated ren and jimmy's verse did a bad job. I live for the already english parts in the original like "Boom, loud speaker" or "Tell me baby, you'd be my ride or die?" and what was going on in jimmy's verse? half of it in the original was already in english, i find it hard to believe that they found it easier to start from scratch rather than translate the japenese to english and just grammatically correct it.
TL;DR the mixing on their voices and their pronunciation is weird and they could've translated better, ren's and jimmy's parts were butchered.

Even if they are signed with different recording companies, isn't it LDH's job to be responsible for promotions, not the recording company? And if LDH is broke, why do they keep debuting new groups constantly? Like, shouldn't they prioritize their current groups?
Appreciate the effort but they could have polished the editing more. I know English is not their first language, so I won't judge the pronunciation/dictions. But there are parts where they sound robotic, some rap lines just lost its flow, and some of the translated lines were way too cheesy.

Not every song needs a version in a different language. If the song is good, it doesn't matter what language it's in. The original japanese version is a masterpiece. This english version is a mess and most of the new english lyrics are really bad imo

There will be artists that willing do English versions, and artists that have to do English versions. Just read the comments when new songs are released, “I’d follow you, but there’s no English subs. The problem with this version is that it's not up to par with the quality that is expected from PsyFe. It's true that non-JP fans are requesting for the English language to be integrated in their content, and the fans thank them when they listen. But for this song? It's poorly executed. Fans like you will eat anything they give. But for casual listeners or potential audiences? I don't think so. Just listen to Weesa's voice. They made him sound like an AI with that terrible amount of auto tune. The worst part is that his lines in the original were already in English. If it ain't broken leave it alone. Also, LDH hired a guy to translate the song for them, and he did a terrible job at it. While the original song was endearing, this one just made the members sound like a cliche "pick me, I'm rich" kind of guy. If you like it, that's fine. But don't gaslight other people not to criticize the output by victimizing the group.

True on what you comment. But for me who didn’t know what they were saying to begin with, this version is great. I know the songs have subtitles (when they decide to put them) but I prefer to not have them on. Too much of distraction for me. And I appreciate the English version even more since they’re very rare.
And I’ve said before if you want to criticize then by all means criticize, just make sure you aren’t starting to be bullish about it. It’s a fine line to cross, and there will be some who will cross that line for fun.
And as for the translations, it all up to what you’re trying to convey (in other words lost in translation) and they went with it. I hope their translators have better understandings (and better context) in the future.😮💨😉
