  • Here's my chart that you could not see because I was looking at a different reflection that wasn't recording me!
    Neurotypical...|...Asp...|...Mild Autism...|...Autism...|...Severely Autistic........
This is a message to all my friends, aspies, autistics, and neurotypicals, clearing up the common misconceptions.
I want to be your voice, and be what John Elder Robison and Jesse Sapperstein was to me.

I feel you - I was not diagnosed until I was an adult and thought I was defective until I realized I was just an Aspie. ;)

I have Aspergers like yourself and it's nice to see someone defending what they believe in. Nice one :)

Hi Suzie! I'm glad you like my video! A lot of people don't know what Asperger's is and I felt that I should share my experience.

So my questions are Gianni ~~> Do Aspergicans have stranger sexual oddities than NT and are times better or worse these days for us?? I am not sure about the sexual part, but would tend to think yes since we are out of the norm on everything else so why not sexual leanings. As for the second question ~~> I grew up in the middle of the last century when even the word autism was unknown and inwardly shy children that were slow developing were very often put in institutions and given electric shock, as well as homosexuals. If they stayed in the family than wow to them that were Autistic, ignored, shamed then raised with narcissistic parents, siblings or both!! There were no social services in those days and very little sympathy, all the while children were expected to be seen and not head, at all times expected to "act normal" (or have it beat into them) Lack of sympathy for disabled people may be one of the more common traits that has lasted thru all these years, even today. Generally I think it was better back then, without the diagnosis frenzy, social facilitators fresh from college to fix us and a patronizing public hell bent on classification of everyone into "appropriate" cubbyholes ~~~ I miss just being "odd" ~~~

I love this video! I was diagnosed with Asperger's at an early age. Before that, I always thought I was different before being told about it.
