The granny Weinstein story bugged me so much lol. They did so much talking for what should've been a 30 second call. Tell her to keep her fucking hands to herself, stop letting the dementia riddled sexual harasser do as she pleases before she really fucks up, and the husband can keep his distance. I was shocked they even laughed and let her get away with that creepy shit the first time. Their family is so weird for normalizing boundary crossing behavior like that and being so afraid of her when she obviously doesn't give a shit how the rest of them feel.

Interestingly, Jewish wigs have come a long way and many times actually look better than the woman's bio hair now. Check out pages like Bekawigs. Long, thick with perfect colour and highlights. If anything, the wigs have the opposite effect intended, I guess which was modesty, because they are so attention grabbing and make people think you are blessed with really gorgeous hair.

I don’t think a euphemistic term like “cultural relativity” should be used to excuse the subjugation of women and their natural sexuality. I don’t care if it’s coming from a religious group or the alt right. Fuck that noise and any sort of tolerance of it.
While I agree the broader message of this comment, I do think that we have to be cautious not to make assumptions about how people choose to define and express their relationship with their god(s). It did not sound as if Moshe was excusing subjugation or sexual suppression , but rather trying to provide a framework to view a cultural practice that seems very antiquated and strange to those raised with different values.
@@challengethyshelf7002 I will never acquiesce to subjugation masquerading as a “values.” Small amounts of control are incredibly effective at brainwashing humans. Male rabbis making these asinine rules are tantamount to male senators passing laws prohibiting reproductive rights. One is the law of “god,” the other “man.” Both can be used to subjugate.
