    As a person becomes adjusted to regular practice, some things happen to them. One of these is a tendency to become much more open to criticism. Most people attribute this change to the vastly lowered stress one feels if Tai Chi is done properly. But, whatever the reason, it is a real thing (among many other things) which change. As a recovering racist, I see this as very important.
