Carrock Fell, High Pike, Knott & Great Calva, Lake District - 9 April 2022

- A 13.8 mile walk from near Mosedale. The route first climbs up Carrock Fell before heading west to High Pike. Retracing our steps the route then visits Lingy Hut before heading to Knott and then loops round to Great Clava before descending down to the valley and returning back to the start
I just walked this yesterday, 9th September. Tough walk in that heat! The Mosedale road back to car is never ending!

Thought you had been quiet Gary ...back with a bang looks like you've been putting the miles in ...that climb at the beginning of carrock is deceiving I guess the arch has gone just short of the summit ...cracking stuff👍
I definitely built up a backlog of videos! Got one more to finish and all up to date. Never saw any arch near the summit, I have heard that others have been removed or broken. Shame. Atb
Hi gaz,great walks again thanks we are coming to lakes fri going to finish the wainwrights 🙂,we will have free days after kentmere round finishing with sunrise n fizz on raven cragg hopefully.we would like to find those stone circles but cant remember where they are could u tell me please.u have inspired us from when we first watched ur walks in the wainwrights pub in keswick 🥾🍻
Hi Susan, hope you have a great weekend and finish the Wainwrights off in style. The stone circles I visited are above the Bishop and below the summit of Barf! Glad you liked the videos! Atb
Some cracking images Gary. These were my first fells in deep snow so it was good to see a decent video of how it looks. Just after the Carrock cairn I went into the bog up to me waist. Two guys pulled me out 😂
Cheers Ian, I kinda like Carrock Fell, been up a few times now. Nice and easy to get to. Luckily I've always dodged the bogs up top. Atb
@@gazfisher1000 I do remember asking you about the walk as I didn't fancy it up there. I need to go back without the snow. It was knee deep as I headed up that gulley. I was the first as well so no tracks to follow. The bog was totally covered so I just walked right into it 😂 I watched your Cross fell one last night another walk I'm planning. Looked good mate keep them coming 👍
