  • Stop Over COMPLICATING This Joint
If you're NOT cutting dados with your router like this, you are over complicating it.
Hey what's up everyone!? I thought id share this sweet hack that I like to use when I'm cutting dado's with my router. It's super easy, cheap, and eliminates the math that sometimes causes error. (I know I'm guilty of that). Start doing it now!
    Material- scrap plywood (heck yeah!)
    Tools-
    Brad nailer
    Router
Flush trim router bit smaller than you desired dado width (I used a 1/2")
    Clamps
That's it anyone can do it and I promise you'll have the best results and ZERO frustration!
go follow me on instagram and TikTok to see what i'm doing more frequently!🤘🏻

Great tip with the brads. I'm definitely going to use this method.

great idea for dados! shorts are just another tool in the shed. Use shorts for tip and tricks. Long form for your builds or complicated tutorials. Why hate on shorts when they are nice to watch on the go when time is a factor

Thanks man! I guess no don’t hate shorts, I post most my short form content on Instagram and TikTok, and I enjoy making those videos. I personally don’t watch shorts on UA-cam all that often. I enjoy peoples long form content and getting a more in-depth view on them and their process. I’m going to start posting more shorts on here just to try and stay relevant. I have a hard time posting my long form content consistently due to my busy schedule, and this not being my full time job. Usually my short content is little bits and pieces along the way.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. It’s good to hear feedback. I’ve heard and read so many people hating on shorts, and I didn’t want to alienate my core audience by posting them if they didn’t like them. 👍🏻

About shorts vs long videos: For things like this, quick practical tips, I prefer short videos. You often want to watch these again on your phone while you're in the shop actually making this jig, so quick and to the point is key. For more entertainment-like videos, the longer videos are obviously preferred.

I totally agree. I made both a short and a longer video on this topic. 👍🏻I’m trying to figure out what my audience likes to watch.
      thanks for your feedback. 👊🏻

I like your regular videos. I hate this goofy shorts business. Whoever thought that up for youtube should sent away. I detest social media in general, aside from youtube which has redeeming qualities. I very occasionally look at instagram for a couple of photographer friends. I wouldn't get near tik tok on a bet. Great idea on this jig BTW.

I’m not a huge fan of the shorts on YT, unless they provide some sort of value, I’m not into all the (trendy)b.s.
Hopefully this video wasn’t too short, I just didn’t think it needed to be 10min video to get the point across. 👍🏻thanks for watching and sharing your feedback. 👊🏻
