As far as I recall, the officer that searched you under Sect 43 of the Terrorism Act did not state his number etc and what he was expecting to find. Also he lied about having to give your details under that search power and at the end of it he did not offer you a copy of the search record or tell you how to obtain it at any police station. He has been in the job for a while and it makes you wonder how many others have had their rights violated by him.
This looks to have been a routine Stop/Search by this Plod. he probably didn't even pay attention when he was initially trained in the use of the power, so I doubt if he has ever conducted a correct S/S in his career in the uniform. UK Police forces admitted a few years back that their Constables routinely carry out millions of S/S every year which they know were conducted unlawfully and did not meet Police procedures. We also know this because of stupid Police Reports, Plod who lie in court, Police Disciplinary Panel results, citizen complaints, failed court cases etc and the huge amount of money paid out each year to their victims. And these are just the ones that we know about because they made the headlines or their victim filmed it. Incorrect Stop/Search is the secret Elephant in the room for all Police forces in the UK and may prove to be the undoing of several Chief Constables, particularly because the practice is now stretching to Plod Stop/Searching and even strip searching children without a parent of suitable person present. The Police procedures on how to carry out a S/S have to be read and signed for by all frontline Constables, but still the corrupt practice of incorrect S/S goes on, because the side-message coming from their supervisors is that they can sign for the procedure, but completely ignore it in practice. And then they wonder why the likes of ex-Met Police Constable Wayne 'The Rapist' Couzens exist?
