I have the sense that Bjarkes sales and marketing prowess is precisely the reason many in the field dislike him. It seems like academics often look down on the business side of architecture, but I feel it is their responsibility to teach students these crucial skills. So thank you for going through the trouble of making this very nice breakdown, I was already familiar with Bjarkes style of presenting, but I still learned a lot from this.
You are absolutly right ! we still want to see architecture as an artistic field only, but the truth is that eventually you will have to sell your project to someone, and it's where knowing and applying the right marketing and persuasion techniques can have a huge impact on the way your project is perceive.
I agree! I have a masters in photography fine arts and the program is all about theory and practice. There were no real world business classes. Example: In 3 years only 1 photography graduate got job teaching at university full time. what about rest of us? I learned more in video than a semester of a shitty art marketing class.. It's a fine line to walk. what ever you do, I wish you the best.
I don't even like BIG that much but Bjarke Ingels did the best architectural presentation I had ever witnessed (at some conference in Chicago) and I have easily seen hundreds of Architects presenting their work over the last thirty years.
I really like your content keep up the good work, just a minor advice, try to change the monotone way of speaking specially for long videos.. it keeps the listeners more engaged and interested. all the best for you! looking forward to your content
They have money and with money comes the possibility to pay an excellent marketing team. Tthat is something we should learn in university, we need marketing skills

It is the typical rejection of "the new". Le Corbusier used to do marketing and now academics love him. They don't criticize that part of him.

Like we said we don't sell projects we sell the words that represent an Idea so if the words are clear the public will Adopt the idea 💡

Where is "What can Architecture Learn from Hollywood"?
0:17 that is not a good concept. It’s a stupid and pretentious concept.
You are too young I assume, you don't understand yet the meaning of concept.
You take too long to get to the point friend
