Yo, Yardbrah, get a bladed edger in there around your dormant grass by the curb. If you have a solid blade edger dig out an airgap between the curb and the grass it'll retain more water and keep the grass from absorbing as much radiant heat from the concrete. Gotta come over some time and I'll show you my lawn.

Been hand syringing with hoses at my house and golf courses for almost 3 decades. When u have a background like i have with turf degrees and major championship golf volunteer and building Poke holes wetting agent if u can pound and puddle the area with water leave the area come back pound it with water again. Take ur probe pull a core see how much water in the profile.

I love using my webb weh12r, even though it is very light at 11KG, it still gives nice stripes if you do two or three passes, and mine is so sharp that it cuts strips of paper set with zero contact between the cylinder blades and bottom blades, so not even a whisp sound, so no resistance to push it, so easy, light to manoeuvre, and gives a fantastic finish. I now have 6 cylinder mowers in total (5 of which are vintage from the 1950's to 1970's), but find my most go to mower is the modern chinese made webb weh12r, as the other vintage ones are just so heavy at all over 20KG each, so back breaking to carry about, compared to the weh12r.
My last mow, I set it at about 15mm, but found that too short as we are having a mini heatwave a.t.m here in the U.K, so have had no rain for weeks, and very hot sun everyday, so the shorter cut is making the grass start to lose its lush green colour and go yellowish, so think I will go back to cutting slightly longer at 20mm, which i.m.h.o makes the grass look so much better and thicker.

What’s the difference between the h12r and weh12r?
@@Asad-vv5zh nothing, some people call it one or the other, it used to be called the handy at first, and was in a lighter green with plastic front rollers, then it was named the Webb weh12r and changed to a steel front roller and darker green. It is from the design of the old qualcast superlite panther from 1970 onwards, the side casings are exactly the same, but the modern Chinese made version is now mostly plastic (plastic top, plastic rear roller etc).
That Hudson looks so smooth. Any washboarding from it?
It’s amazing how uniform it makes the grass look! So far 11 blade at 3/4” no washboard action… we shall see once I go lower 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Looking good Brah! I'm not a huge fan of reel mowers for residential as I know from personal experience similar results can be achieved with rotary but the large roller on your mower stripes quite beautifully. Cheers.
For sure it’s all in the obsession of looking down at a reel mower for me 😂 my ego with the ego stripe kit makes the lawn look just as good at 1.5” but I like it low I’m cutting 5/8” now and it’s pretty dark green 😊🙏🏾👊🏾🤙🏾🔥

@@YardBrah Grass is extremely upright…. It seemed that using Ego the cut looked much sharper…. I would believe that straight grass is easier for a rotary to mow or requires much less lifting of blades…. Did the Ego leave tire tracks or were they less visible? Definitely looked better to me!
Oh you know what… it’s the turf Titan that makes the grass stand up! Silica is only on the main lawn sidewalk strips have soil only no sand! Grass started standing up after the 6 step bundle was applied it’s insane no joke best lawn product on the market right now for what we are doing… granular is a thing of the past this is the new hotness 😊🔥🤙🏾🙏🏾👊🏾

Webb is miles ahead of fiskars… fiskars gives you that rippling effect when you go to the lowest setting…. Webb also goes lower and at 3/4” cut no rippling effect! 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
